Back in 2012 I was a brand new nurse working my first job in an assisted living. Well I made a "med error" and gave a four and 8pm med to a resident to take with them. Long story short, the board contacted then, but contactedme today out of the blue asking me if I wished to participate in the pip program. Which roughly translated into professional improvement plan, involving me being under the direction of an rn at my new place of employment and such. I'm not sure what all the program included but as I'm only 3months into this job and not wanting to ruin my chances I declined as they said I could. Now what.... is there going to be some major to do? Has anyone else ever dealt with something like this?
