Wow!! What a month it has been for me. I have another thread up here about failing the first time. It most definitely knocked me down! But I got back up and with Gods help I was successful. Failed first time with 265 passed second with 75!!! I shut my facebook down ( a bad distractor for me) among other social media and did nothing but focus on conquering this test the next time I faced it. I had the job of my dreams lined up at Duke University Hospital ans thankfully they postponed my start date so I could retest. Drove to Wilmington by myself and got a hotel room. Practiced a few questions on my phone but nothing extensive. Woke up, prayed, ate a good breakfast (makesure you do this. Even if you have to force yourself. I really benefited from this). Anyways, I sat down at the screen, took a deep breath and prayed for calmness!! One hour later I was done. I was prepared to stay as long as I needed to but it cut off. I was relieved but of course started to second guess my self as the hours passed. My results were on hold d/t a scanning issue. I scheduled my health screen at Duke this afternoon thinking I would have my results before I went. Oh no. I had to wait. So my mom went with me today to Duke. I couldst go by myself. I was a nervous wreck. All the way there Im checking pearson vue and results not available. So I went ahead and walked in. As scared as I was i had to go. So, im standing in line to get my badge. Im worried i didnt pass and came here for nothing. Its taking a while so i decide to just check pearson vue again thinking it would say the same thing. Oh no, purchase was up there for my quick results. I was back and forth about checking right in the middle of the line but I had to know!!! Thank God it said pass!!! I was about to pass out. Everyone was saying Congrats!! I just had to share this. I will always remember this day! Never give up. This site helped me tremendously. I basically worked out of lacharity's PDA and saunders 6th edition. Did atleast 5000 questions and read rationales. I am bursting with gratitude and Thankful to God. So excited to start my journey as a RN at Duke!! Good luck to all of you who have to take the nclex!! Remember to breathe!!😃😃😃

So like most I could no longer resist the wonderful PVT. I got up enough courage and went for it. What do you know, my test results are on hold. This is absolute torture. The only thing I can think is me writing a bible verse on the whiteboard PRIOR to tutorial. Anyone had this experience??

Well its over!!! I was the first one to sit down and the first one to get up. Computer cut off at 75. Had 15+ SATA. Had some in a row. Had some I knew and some I didnt. I was calm throughout and Thank God for that! Sometimes i can work my self up but not today. When the computer shut off i was relieved. I was that way for about 1 hour. Then there goes the negative thoughts. What if i didnt pass? What if i knew some of them because it was easier? I had medications, 1 exhibit, SATA and multiple choice. That was it. Had a few delegation, prioritizing, health promotion, couple peds, couple maternity, etc. Anyways now I am choosing to wait until Thursday to find out with quick results. Not doing the trick. I want to relax for at least 2 days before I find out!!! I know it can go either way. Thank you for all your support. It helps so much!!

So i didnt pass my first attempt. Went in there thinking I had it to be honest. Oh well, i was wrong. Did no prep and no reviewing. I got out of it what i put into it. I FAILED. Im already a LPN so i had already faced the dreaded NCLEX. Passed in minimum amount of questions. Thought I would do the same for this one. Absolutely not. I did all 265 in 3 hours. No breaks. Obviously i wasnt reading much of the questions. Well the past 45 days ive used nclex mastery on my iphone, lacharity PDA , and saunders 6th edition. Ive done i know 5000 questions. Read rationales. Well im about to head out of town. I got a hotel room to stay in 2 hours a way in wilmington. Thats where im testing. Im going to relax and pray. Please pray for me! Congrats to all who have passed and to the ones who will!!! God bless you all!!!

I got the offer today!!! Start July 13!!! I'm so excited!!!

Thanksí ½í¸ƒ I know there are tons of "interviewees" (if it wasn't a word it is now) . I haven't gotten a no so that's good! The girl I shadowed said they needed nurses. I am already a LPN with 2 years of experience. Just finished ADN and taking boards this Friday!! Nervous!!

Anyone out there interview for Duke university hospital yet? how long does it take for an offer or if you didn't get the job? I interviewed last Wednesday. I know this past weekend was Memorial Day. Does anyone have any advice ? I thought it went well but who knows !!
