  1. Hey everyone, I have a Perry and Potter book that I am selling. It is like new, no writing or highlights. I passed process 1 and 2 and don't need it anymore. let me know if you are interested! Good Luck!
  2. I wasn't aware of people meeting up beforehand but I am planning on getting to campus early! I just want to make sure I don't hit any traffic especially on the first day. If there is a group I would love to meet everyone!
  3. 4 more days!!!! Hope everyone enjoys this last weekend!!!
  4. This may be a silly question. The top of the booklist has two items, Broward College modules and nursing student manual and Handout packet for each course. does anybody know what these are? The girl at the bookstore said she didn't know and that they weren't in the bookstore.
  5. I also got the pharm book and the dosage calculations book even though i heard they aren't necessary. The orientation paperwork we got said something about a warm up jacket but from what I read I understood it was optional.
  6. I am definitely planning on living at library, too! I'll pack breakfast, lunch, and dinner! No excuses! Haha! I lost my job which was mon-fri. I am hoping I can get a weekend job though to carry me through. I need the income. I still need to decide on a bag. Is anybody else having this dilemma? I know a rolling backpack is best but....
  7. I am sure I read somewhere not to turn in the paperwork until it is all together. And thanks for posting what that student said. It is good to hear some reassurance that the program isn't as bad as we are hearing and confirming my belief that the ones saying how awful it is are probably the ones not ready and not goig into it wholeheartedly. I am for sure all hearts in!
  8. For North campus orientation, I didn't see that we had to wear the uniform or have an orientation packet. I am just going to wear regular clothes and just bring my binder, is that what everyone else is doing?
  9. North campus: we have to put our paperwork in two seperate folders. Do they mean a folder with pockets or a manilla folder?
  10. Thanks for the info but mine was thousands of dollars over. Apparently they had me down as an out of state student but all is fixed now
  11. I wanted to go to central but when I tried to register at 8a for central classes a flag came up that one of my prereqs was missing. By the time I got it fixed Central was full. Luckily I got a seat at north! It is a bit further of a drive but at least I am now enrolled in classes! does anybody elses tuition seem to be more than what they were expecting? I sure hope I can get financial aid! I am going to go into that office ASAP!
  12. Keep us posted! Sending you positive vibes!
  13. That is so frustrating! I really hope they work it out for you. Which campus was that at? I handed mine into central to Nichole. I went back and talked to her and another gentleman who's name I can't remember. Everything works out how it's supposed to. Did they at least say you would be an alternate? I hope you can talk to them. I know at least at central Nichole would be the one you'd want to talk to.
  14. @Roxii77 I handed mine in just as they were deciding for may admission. When everyone else's status was changing to 'in review' and mine wasn't I went into the office and talked to two different people. Finally it changed. I think if you hand or in too early it gets I hope they fix that for you. I am sure someone will need to defer their seat...
  15. I have the 10th at 1pm. I think probably the 9am section has first dibs on which campus and the 1pm section second choice. Theres no other times, right? I am only seeing people with 9a or 1p.
  16. I am planning on going to central @Cass8906. Is everybody going to central for the pre admissions meeting?
  17. I wouldn't freak if your status didn't change yet. I've read on previous boards where people got the emails first. Don't loose hope yet!
  18. Me too!!!! Yay! Congrats everyone!!!! And I was thinking I wasn't going to sleep tonight!!!!
  19. Agreed! At least today is Wednesday, which means tomorrow is Thursday, and we find out on Friday! and we will have our answer and we can finally relax (for about a month or so until the real crazy begins) fingers crossed for everyone!!!!
  20. Oh no! Well best of luck next time! Don't give up!
  21. Well shouldn't they start letting people know if they have been accepted or not? I mean if some people are applying to multiple programs like Miami Dade and Broward, for example, and MD already sent them an acceptance letter why would they wait an extra 3-4 weeks waiting to hear from BC. That's more students this college would be out. Then if more people apply after that then if there are seats open add them in too. Why is this difficult?
  22. I'm happy for you that you can take it and hand it in and have a chance for fall but I'm getting frustrated. I just want to know already. My summer class ends on monday and I'd just like to start getting ready for the fall not be a ball of anxiety still.
  23. I think 'pre program admission'
  24. From what I hear though, Broward nursing student have a great reputation in the field. I am ready to do the work to earn that reputation and continue it. I'm planning on getting my RN for now but I won't stop there. I just don't have the money to fork over for a BSN program and I don't want to wait any longer.
  25. When I've gone through the message boards on here it seems that even people who get very low points get into the program. I can reason that if someone didn't get in they maybe embarassed or resentful and wouldn't want to post it, but I haven't seen that either. I will postulate that as long as you meet the requirements they accept you. They want your money in the long run. Also, it's really intimidating to hear the classes start off at around 100 people and only 15 make it to graduation for all the various reasons so I can understand why people aren't applying.
