  1. It'll be pricey but UPenn has a 2nd degree BSN to MSN in Midwifery. I think it's roughly 28 months.
  2. Look for our 152 class group on Facebook when you get a chance.
  3. So looking forward to meeting you all Frontier Bound! Perfect way to start the holiday weekend no?! App to acceptance was like 30 days for me!!! The admission team must be super efficient these days.
  4. I saw the extended deadline too. I will be sending my app in for class 152 as well. Hope to see you at FB! Good luck.
  5. Great health system with lots of opportunities. Only Bryn Mawr has peds. All of the hospitals have Maternity. Keep an eye out for their residency postings. They only higher new grads through that path. Also try to get an extern or tech position. That will get your foot in the door. Starting $30ish/hr. Good luck!
  6. I went to Drexel for my ABSN. The WH course there is intense and mostly medical model. The WH clinical sites are hospital based, you have zero say in where you go. I liked Drexel but it's not for everyone. You have to be independent, there's no hand holding from the faculty. I am in the Midwifery program at Penn. I applied before I graduated. There is no RN experience required. I work now in med-surg and I do believe that clinical experience is beneficial.
  7. How about Einstein's payscale and tuition reimbursement?
  8. MLHS is $30.24. Does Penn Medicine have a Weekends Only rate?
  9. Hi, I've just found out that I was admitted to Penn's program. I start part time in January. I applied during my ABSN. I had the required 3 recommendations and 1 was from a Penn WHNP graduate. I worked briefly as a HIV counselor but the majority of my professional experience was not healthcare related. I don't know about other applicants but my GPA was 3.8. Midwifery is a second career for me. I am 37 and currently working as a RN in Med Surg. Good luck!
  10. Does anyone know what a Clinical Nurse I in Penn's Health system makes? TIA
