hello, SO ? about me . I am a Registered Nurse, Graduated Dec 2014 from Macewan University, in Edmonton Canada. I passed my NCLEX - YAHOO, so im A BScN , RN. I took my emergency nurse peds course (ENPC), i took my Trauma nurse core course ( TNCC). Now my question. I am working in the ER as I am a new staff member / recent grad, im working in the non telemetry areas. I want to take ACLS as it will help get me into the monitored areas ( apparently once i have been there a year is what staff is saying). Should I take ACLS now ? do i know enough ? I feel very green in the cardiac world. I have heard how hard this is ? The cost is $500 canadian, so im scared to take it and fail? Any advice ? when did u take it ? how can i prep if i do ? Jessica
  4. this is patient safety. its basic nursing knowledge. i work in ER . **** happens. but follow your steps. rushing leads to unsafe patient environments. Jessica BScN RN
  5. hey, first of all. do not worry . just because u havent been successful does not mean you wont be ! I just did my Nclex in March. I did pass. promise of all promises. I found studying overwhelming ! how do u study for four years ... YOU CANT ! the NCLEX is new to canada since Jan 2015. the format/content/everything. My school paid for us to have a subscription to prepu.com. This is honestly the only way i studied. It teaches u how to answer questions, increases the difficulty of questions as u progress.to help u get to the passing mastery level.and exposes u to the type of questions/ answers u can expect. I aimed for 150 questions a day . Then closer to i did a couple quizzes in the NCLEX practise part. before i wrote my exam I had done close to 3,000 questions. i really feel this prepaired me. Now ! I would suggest some R and R . pick yourself up. you can do it ! and take a peek at prepu Jessica BsCN RN
