  1. It is possible to find per diem work in Brooklyn, most likely in LTCs. Check the Craigslist, and there you can find agencies hiring new grads for LTC positions. Orientation is 3-5 days, up to 40-50 patients, but your daughter has CNA experience, so it should be doable. PDN is another possibility, because she can be trained quickly for some cases.
  2. That's very helpful. You probably had your orientations by now, about how many people were accepted by Lehman and BI?
  3. Thank you guys for your responses and congrats to both of you on being accepted and even finding a job along the way, NurseRuzzy. What units did you get into and what do you think helped you to stand out among others?
  4. Just curious, have you been accepted into the program, Igueva and NurseRuzzy. If yes, do you think it's worth completing the program?
  5. Thank you, radioed, for the information. I have never heard of hospitals assessing nurses' data entry skills. Can you tell more about the test, please? And by the way, great job getting these jobs. Good luck to you.
  6. Hi smiley28, Did you get an offer from NYM? I am also a new grad, and I am really interested in getting a job at NYM.
  7. Congrats, guys. I also applied, but I did not interview with any hospital, just Lehman. Good luck to you all.
  8. Hi Pochacco. I am also interested in this program. Have you had your interviews yet?
