  1. Sure! I got hired into the NICU and just started on the 13th. It's been a fun process so far! So my advice to you would be first to find the director and send her an email saying you'd like to meet her and you are a new grad interested in working in the unit. If you meet her before the meet and greet it shows huge initiative and you have a "one up" on everyone else. Then hopefully you'll meet her, she'll interview and then you go to the meet and greet and interview again alongside many other people. Everyone is invited and all Methodist hospitals and many units will be there so bring a lot of resumes and expect to interview with a lot of people (also try your best to be at the front of the line for NICU-it will be a loooooong line), They will then decide to invite you to a peer interview where you will be interviewed by about 5 MCH employees that work in the NICU. They are managers, educators and charge nurses. They'll ask you everything you get asked in an interview: tell me about yourself, why did you choose NICU, etc. If you have any questions I would be glad to answer them! Good luck!
  2. Hey everyone! I applied to the Methodist (children's) Hospital in San Antonio for their residency program in the NICU. I got called back to do a peer interview. Has anyone else gotten a call to do a peer interview? Does anyone have experience with a peer interview? I feel like it's the last step and I'm so nervous! Any advice helps! Thanks! Danielle
