  1. Hi guys , I'm a little bit confused. How do the NCLEX and FENS refresher work? Is it like taking the NCLEX first then if you passed, you'll have to take the FENS refresher courses? Foreign educated nurse with no experience here. Please if anybody happen to know, comment, Thanks a lot. Godbless
  2. Hello guys I am a Philippines BSN graduate and a resident of Texas. I planned to take NCLEX in Texas but then when I called the Texas BON I was told that I am not eligible to take it here as it's been 4 years since I graduated, and that I have to re educate myself. So I looked for other state that would allow me to take the exam without going back to school and study the same thing, I don't mind taking refresher courses but going back to school it takes lots of time and money which I don't have and I would want to avoid that. I've heard that you can apply in a different state and once you passed you can endorse it to any state where you want to work or doesn't need to endorse at all if you took the NCLEX in a state which is part of the compact license and practice nursing in another state that is also included in the COMPACT states. So I am planning to apply to the State of New Mexico Board of Nursing to take the NCLEX, now my question is , is it allowed to take NCLEX there even I am not a New Mexico resident? and after passing the NM- NCLEX and got my license can I just simply work as a nurse in Texas using the New Mexico license? I appreciate every answer guys, please share what you know.

Hello guys, I am a BSN grad from the Philippines and planning to take NCLEX here in Texas,. I don't have a local license as I didn't took the NLE over there. Now I already paid the CGFNS CES-professional report. But I'm so confused about their forms, I downloaded request forms and it include request forms for transcript and also request for validation of license/registration/diploma forms. Now Texas doesn't require any local license to sit for the NLCEx which I don't have it anyway do i have to send the form for validation of license/diploma to my school? coz I got school diploma? Same thing with CES-academic report as applied for that as well , ( as i'm planning to go back to school here in TExas) it said i have to download forms and send it to school and the request form for validation of license/registration/diploma also was included. Or should I just disregard those forms and not send it to school and just send the request for transcript forms? Please enlighten me. Thanks a lot.
  5. Hi Maddiewee , was browsing about Phil. nurse (no PH License) grad applying for NCLEX and saw this post of yours. I think I have the same situation as you had before. I graduated BSN year 2011 in the Philippines but I wasn't able to take the Nurse local board exam over there and so I don't have a license. Now I am trying to apply for the Texas NCLEX. Would you mind sharing your experiences and the process you did in applying for the NCLEX? I was about to apply for credential evaluation through CGFNS website but on the requirements listed, license is included. Do they really required that for the credential evaluation or I will just pass the requirements except for the License as I don't have it? Thanks I hope you'll find time to answer me back. I really appreciate it. God bless you.

  7. Hello guys i'm seeking for your help about my situation. I am a graduate of BS Nursing in the Philippines year 2011. I don't have a Philippines Nursing license and i wanted to continue my nursing education for me to begin a nursing career here in USA particularly in the State of Texas. I've emailed TBON and all they gave me are the lists of credentialing agencies but i have no idea how to reach them. Some say that I would just probably try to enroll and go back to school here and let them evaluate my credentials but I called and emailed some schools like University of Texas Arlington, Baylor University and Texas Woman's University and 1 of them just gave me the general instruction for bS nursing course adimission and some told me that I can go directly and apply for the NCLEX RN exam, they are not responsive much and you have to schedule an appointment to visit their office of advisors. Please nurses out there who had a similar situation with mine please enlighten me. Take note I don't have license in the Philippines. Thanks a lot!! God bless you!
