Oh, so they were still conducting interviews after the 3/15. I don't know why I thought they were done by 3/15. Then maybe that is a good sign, they are still interviewing and evaluating. I thought they were long done, and no one returned back to me so I began losing hope, lol. I feel better now. I applied for full time too!

Anyone out there applying for University of South FL MS-FNP program for fall 19? Did you get an Interview? Were you accepted and, or otherwise? Please share. I have applied, and was interviewed on 3/12, but had no response after that...Anyone with a similar experience? Any insight? Thank you.

But when we start going to the hospital we'll have to start at 6:00 am for day students? Or is 7:00 am going to be for all semester?

Did anyone get a message on MyCourses letting us know that for "clinical class, day students arrive at 7 a.m. and evening students arrive at 3 p.m"?

I am going to get titer results today for MMR + Varicella. I sure hope they are positive! I emailed Ms. Boylson and explained to her that if my titer today was negative, then there is no way I can submit all my vaccines by Aug 1st. She said if titers results were negative, then I should let her know so we can work something out. At this point frustration is an understatement . Ashtinp, if I understood correctly,you went through chemo right? In that case I am surprised that your titers were positive, good luck for you .

Am I looking at this wrong or did I miss something during orientation, but my schedule shows only a few hours for "lecture" on Mon & Thurs? Surely we will be spending more time on lecture than that. Mine shows Monday 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. Thursday 8:00-11:00 am. Tue/Wed clinical. In those couple of hours, how are we going to go through 13 textbooks is still a mystery to me .

Well... like I said, my doctor is not reliable. I called the office for the titers, and they wanted to schedule me for a physical. So after explaining to them, that I have had a physical in less that 6 months, I don't need one, they insisted; basically (no physical, no titer). So I said: "Fine I'm going somewhere else, thanks for nothing". And I ended up going to the health department, that was a nightmare, but they told me it takes up to two weeks for the results.

Had to buy a bookcase to store all the textbooks (which I haven't purchased yet). Now, I need to go find a cart to transfer them back & forth... I bought the books online (Amazon), I hope they get here on time. I bought a "High Sierra" rolling bag-pack. It should fit everything "I hope", and it also has a special compartments for laptop, and tablet.

Yes! An absolute mess, mixing different semesters together, different subjects, just very unorganized .

Hi Boppers , I only just now saw this message , so how did it go? CPR that is? I did titers for MMR + Varicella, so now I have to wait for a couple of weeks to get the results . I sure hope it comes positive, I don't want any more shots... I am not sure whether anyone will notify us when syllabus is available or not, but I check MyCourses everyday just in case.

They provided the manual, he went over everything in it without us reading each page. It was a fun class, lots of YouTube videos, and then of course the dummies, etc... At the end, we did a multiple choice quiz, and that's that. we started at 8:30, and finished at 11:00.

I am North Side as well! As for Bay Pines, a physician assistance told me I should pick it because most likely they will end up hiring nurses that practiced there, and that they pay around 20% higher salaries to nurses than other hospitals. I did not pick it because of the location (too far for me), and I think it was a night class, and I wanted a day one.

I hope all will be good for you , don't stress about it, I don't think they'll give you hard time, or I hope not .

Don't worry about it. When I emailed the college for fear of not being done with immunizations on time, since some are two steps three weeks apart. I got a message back saying I still have until the second week of classes to be done with everything. So I'm sure they'll understand, and tomorrow they'll clear things up for us...I hope .

I am very nervous. My life is changing, I scheduled my son in a daycare and I feel awful and selfish about it. I don't feel comfortable, everything is changing!! I hope the time passes quick, and things get back to normal. Or will it ever get back to normal?! I'm on freaked out mode .

I have been wondering about this as well. Are we only going to know about it during orientation? Then we have to make a decision right then and there? I don't like that.
