  1. OSU-OKC has lecture twice a week. In my experience, it was always Monday/Thursday, but I know they've changed it and some semesters are other days. Clinical days are once a week, however some semesters/rotations require pre-planning the day before as well as paperwork to be completed beforehand. There are also labs, orientations, volunteer work etc sprinkled throughout each semester. I'm not one to say that you just can't do something, but maintaining a M-F 8-5 schedule while also ensuring you make it to class/clinical as well as adequate study/paperwork time would be very difficult. Most people have jobs, kids, families, etc but I don't know of anyone personally who works M-F 8-5. I know UCO's is even more rigorous/time consuming than OSU-OKC's. Both are great programs. Nursing school is a struggle, but you'll learn and grow so much, and if it is your passion it is so worth it. Wishing you the best!
  2. From what I know, a hospital will hire you whether you have an associates or bachelors degree. Both take the NCLEX to get licensed as an RN. I've even seen a couple hospitals with LPNs working the floor, so as an RN you shouldn't have any trouble. The bachelors is important if you want to move forward in your education/career, but for starting out on the floor, an associates is just fine. I was at another school working on my pre-reqs with the intention of going through their bachelors program, however I ended up in this program because it better fit my needs/busy lifestyle. (Not to say it isn't also filled with hard work and craziness...it is.) I've talked to many, many RN's who either are working towards their bachelor online, or already did, and they said it was a good choice for them. However if you know you want to get your bachelors and you have the ability to go through a bachelors program, go for it!! It all subjective, but both roads lead to RN and an amazing career. Good luck!
  3. Lecture is Monday/Thursday, and your clinicals will either be Tuesday or Wednesday with preplanning typically the day before. Good luck to all of you!
