Hey guys, It was suggested that a facebook group be created for those that will be attending Mohawk College in January of 2016. With that being said, I took the liberty of making a group entitled: "Momac Nursing 2016". Everyone is welcome to join and I look forward to meeting all of you. Cheers!

This list was provided by a current 1st semester RPN student at momac: • Canadian fundamentals of Nursing (Potter)*updated* • Nursing skills online (Potter) • Canadian physical examination and health assessment (Jarvis) • Mosby's guide to nursing diagnosis (Ladwig) • Interpersonal relationships (Arnold) • Essentials of anatomy and physiology (Patton) I was told that there is online version of this package at a fraction of the cost. Please note that the online package has no resale value!

Also, I was able to get the list of books that we're going to need for 1st semester so if anyone else on this form wants to buy the books before the semester begins, send me a dm and ill provide you with the list.

I contacted mohawk on monday and they said that they'll be mailing our registration packages mid october. I believe first semester tuition fees are $2,444.17 and second semester is about the same, if not a little less.

I heard that tuition for first semester was $2464.19 and second semester was $2112.05. On top of that, were looking at $700 in books.

Katrina.flegg- I read on different Forums that the college(s) will update your status before OCAS. Check tomorrow, it should be updated. Also, don't wait until the last minute to make your deposit!!!!

Canadaboy- If accepted, it should say "final offer" under "offer status". Don't let the status discourage you, the college may still be giving out their offers. Also if you are wait listed, they still give out a second round of admissions a few weeks after the 31st of august(last day to accept for the first round of offers). A friend of mine that had high 80s in his HS marks and a 61% on the HOAE got his offer during the second round. If you don't get admissions by the 31st, you will most likely be wait-listed. If thats the case, you can contact the admissions advisor and ask them where you stand in regards to the waitlist. Hope this helps, keep your head up!!!

Cbuzz999, I applied for to george brown for the september intake but id rather go to Mohawk since im from the Hamilton.

Yes, I applied to george brown, conestoga, Niagara and sheridan along with Mohawk. I got acceptance from georgebrown's program and I haven't heard anything from the other colleges yet. Im really hoping to get accepted into Mohawk's program! Im sure you'll be fine. My friends that got into September did not do as well as you did on their HOAE and they got accepted. Also, I've been told that the september intake is much more competitive than the January intake (based on the amount of applicants straight out of H.S).

Thanks Cbuzz999 ☺ This waiting game is driving me crazy! I have a few friends who made it in the September intake. They told me that the first round of offers were given out about 4 - 6 weeks after the last week of February (the last week to write the Hoae for applicants wishing to start in the fall of 2015). I believe those that were given admissions had until late MAY to accept/confirm their offers. Also, I was told that the second round of offers were given out around the second week of june!

Hey jasminek18! I too wrote my HOAE at Mohawk last week. My HS average going into the program is 89% and I received a 74% on the hoae. (Highschool marks) 89 × .50 = 44.5 (Hoae) 74.5 × .50 = 37.25 44.5 + 37.25 = 81.75 So between both marks, im going in with a 81.75%. I Really hope that its enough to gain admission! Please let me know how the rest of you guys did ☺
