  1. Here is also a cover letter I wrote. It sounds so awful when I read it out loud. If someone can also help with this, that would me AMAZING!!! KIMMYPEACH 1234 Sunshine Lane, BarbieWorld, IL Phone: 111-111-1111 Email: [email protected] February 1, 2017 To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to apply for the Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse position with AMAZING HOSPITAL. I am a recent nursing graduate with my BSN from AMAZING SCHOOL. I am organized and efficient with a strong sense of time management and I am able to prioritize tasks accordingly. It would be a thrill to bring my unique attributes to work with the staff at AMAZING HOSPITAL as an ICU nurse. In addition to being able to bring evidence-based practices to this facility, I will also bring my 3 years of customer service background with me. Being in hospitality has aided me in making connections with people during stressful times in their lives and helping them feel at peace. I feel that this is an important skill for nurses to have when working in an ICU setting. I have no doubt that you will find me to be a well-qualified candidate. I welcome you to reach out by email or phone to arrange an interview at your convenience. Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to meeting with you. Sincerely, Kimmypeach
  2. I AM SOOO ECSTATIC!!! I FINALLY PASSED MY NCLEX-RN ON JANUARY 28TH, 2017!!!!!!!! It has been a long journey (see previous post from 2 years ago smh) kimmypeach, Rn, BSN #Boom Ok enough basking in my own glow lol. I was wondering if someone could help me with my new grad resume. I think it looks OK but would love opinions from the experienced nurses on here. I have already applied to multiple jobs but I want to know if my resume will catch their eyes. With me being a new grad, I know that sometimes it's more difficult to get a good starting job. I have had NO experience in the medical field since my graduation in 2015 so I know that already puts me at a disadvantage. I have been applying to all types of positions from med/surg to OR to ICU. Any advise on where I should start will be greatly appreciated. 3. Yeah i know it all sounds confusing. It confused me as well when i found out. I cant explain all of the situation without giving away my schools name but ill try. The school that i am receiving my BSN (school A) and the school i owe money to (school B) are sister schools. i went to school B only for my pre-reqs and havent been enrolled in there since freshman yr and my bill was payed off. When i started going to school A, i didnt know that school B was still charging me tuition every year for attending school A because school A was also charging me tuition. So every year they charged me tuition and added interest on top of that and didnt tell me! When i looked at my account for school A, it says that school B has a hold on my transcripts for owing them money. Had no clue since i havent logged into my account for school B since freshman year.
  4. I graduate in literally 11 days with my Bachelor in Nursing and just found out the worst news that I still owe another school $15,000 and they put a hold on my ability to receive my transcripts, which makes it impossible for me to take the NCLEX until it is paid. I thought about working as a CNA at the hospital that I want to join the residency program at so that at least I have some kind of foot in the door and that they know me when it comes time for the residency program to accept people again in February or if I should keep my current hotel job until I am able to save up the money and pay the debt off. Of course the CNA job is more difficult and probably would pay a little less than my hotel job but I really wouldn't mind if that meant me having a better chance at getting into my career in February. I need some advice please and thank you! :)
