  1. I will keep you all posted. We have such a great unit and the residents are very well taken care of when SHE is not there.
  2. Hi actually I reported her to the DON as a write up I go back Monday so will post if anything was done. I keep a log of all her shenanigans so if I need proof it's all documented. It is just sad because when she is not there everything runs smooth no tension and everyone is happy, no falls, no fights among residents. When she is there omg staff arguing in halls, patients getting ignored or yelled at its a mess.
  3. Thank you and I hope so too as our unit runs smoothly when she is not there I just don't understand why upper management doesn't know or that can't see the difference. Our job as nurses are stressful enough I never claim to be something I am not and I told the family member that I cannot say she has passed or not I will be right back with an RN that can confirm it. I just hope all goes well and does not backfire on me as I have the residents best interest at heart I am not being vindictive.
  4. I did tonight I couldn't take it anymore because she came to me on my break and said I think u are coming across as being very mean and demanding and we a s the cnas feel u are creating a hostile environment. As soon as I heard that I went straight to the DON. I am just frustrated. I don't know where to go from here but if nothing is done when I go back Monday u am thinking of turning her in. Since she has a certification should I go through the nursing board or where do I go I live in arizona so any advice I would appreciate thank you
  5. I am an LPN I work a dementia unit all cnas are awesome except one when I try to tell her she is beyond her scope she blatantly says I am a nurse and I am best friends with the unit manager. Also she states when I tell her I need something she will argue with me. She refuses to listen and is best friends with unit manager so thinks she can get away with everything . She answers calls to me and says she will relay the message, she gives information. over the phone to I don't know who she also argues with me constantly. She went into a dying patients room and told the daughter that sometimes people breathe like that and told the hospice nurse about her vitals. I am fed up what should I do. I talked to unit manager (her best friend) and she just blows it off and all the other CNA'S are having to pick up her slack because she is too busy trying to play nurse.
