  1. Hi, anyone know if there is a UCSF PMHNP facebook cohort page for upcoming Fall 2019 cohort (I'm in BSN -> MSN). thank you!!
  2. Maybe you can reach out to UM? I was told the program coordinator was out for at least a couple of weeks. They had someone fill her spot while she was out. So they might be delayed. You should get a response.
  3. Congrats Mushtaba! I'm also in CA. I'll be living in Miami Beach. join the fb group Log into Facebook | Facebook
  4. cool :) it's available to those already accepted to the UM Spring 2017 cohort.
  5. Here's a fb group for our cohort Log into Facebook | Facebook
  6. Hi! I sent a PM re: fb group; I can help. Thanks!
  7. Congrats @ nguyenvivtt ! I know the feeling...I'm transitioning from the Pacific Northwest as well (San Francisco).
  8. In my pdf and snail mail acceptance letter (both are the same) it's the second page - i.e., Certificate of Admission to Clinical Course Work. It's stated there.
  9. Also, for those that have been accepted, you'll notice that UM wants us to initiate the background/drug test process within two weeks of acceptance letter as well (basically, 'initiation' = just pay in my opinion). You'll get instructions via email later on that process after payment. I'm still figuring that one out...
  10. I received it by email, canelink & snail mail. I'm assuming my transcripts were verified (sent them early).
  11. I received the acceptance by mail today as well (a few days later).
  12. Thanks, iserlohn ! Yes, I received my acceptance by email. For others that get accepted & enrolling, we should get a facebook page going...not sure if UM will coordinate that.
  13. Hello group, I applied in late May. I just received my acceptance last week. Look forward to connecting & wishing everyone the best. I'm moving from San Francisco.
  14. I just received an acceptance letter (email) for Fall 2016 ELMSN FNP cohort. I am hoping that everyone receives good news or does NOT give up! Warm regards.
  15. Congratulations, LoveFNP2b! Happy for you! Fingers crossed for the rest of us.
  16. At PPMM. Wow, you sound like a very competitive candidate. Yes, you can apply with classes in progress like I did with physiology. I received my Physiology grade in Jan. for my Fall 2015 semester and updated it in NursingCAS (from "in progress" to "complete" with the final grade). Also, I had to have the university resend my transcript to NursingCAS. I did get confirmation from NursingCAS that they updated my transcript. Luckily, I called NursingCAS too which expedited their search for my transcript and the updated transcript review. All my best wishes to you and all. Let's stay determined!
  17. Hello, I was interviewed last Thurs. at 3pm for the Fall 2016 ELMSN FNP. I probably met a couple of you. I wish us all the best luck on this journey! It's a great program!!
  18. Hi. Congratulations on getting everything in for the application! That's a good question regarding working in the ER with a FNP license. Not sure. I think SMU starts reviewing applications in Dec. to then send off to faculty. Hopefully, we'll hear by Feb. for interviews! Let's keep each other posted.
  19. My background was hospital/healthcare administration and I see master level nurses in leadership roles in community clinics. Some chose the admin. side and one I know is great at running the clinic and also providing care on certain days.
  20. Hello, I didn't see a thread for the Fall 2016 ELMSN, FNP program. I recently applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN, FNP program in Oakland, CA. Has any one else applied? Any graduates have any feedback? I'm really excited about Samuel Merritt's Family Nurse Practitioner program. I'd really like to pursue primary and mental health. With that, I think a focus on FNP first would help.
  21. I definitely agree. Do you mind if we share and collaborate? I looked at main ones I'm interested in and create an excel for those, but I'd like to consider plan B schools.
  22. Hello, I'm looking to apply to the non-nursing direct entry master level NP programs in the US. I live in the Bay Area. Ideally I would focus on Psychiatric and maybe FNP. Does anyone have a spreadsheet shell with their Pre-reqs they researched that they would share? I was a hospital administrator for 15 years and it caused major headaches (literally - to the point I'm scheduled for neurosurgery at Stanford in Oct.). Any help would be great. Thanks, Marc
