  1. Yes I feel that way also but you never know. Thank you for responding this makes me feel much better about it!
  2. So I have been accepted into nursing school in Tennessee and now we are getting ready to submit info for background checks. Two years ago I got in trouble for simple possession of marijuana and it went on my record as a misdemeanor. I completed everything that the courts required me to complete and I didn't lie about it on my application I have been very forthcoming about it with the school I will be attending. My question is has anyone in TN also had this sort of problem or something similar? I am a little worried about whether not the clinical sites will allow me to do clinicals at their hospital. If anyone has any information even if it's disgouraging please give me some feedback. I want to be a nurse more than anything and I don't want this stupid mistake to hold me back!
  3. I have been accepted into nursing school and its time for me to submit all the information for the background check. I have a misdemeanor for simple possession of marijuana from two years ago. I'm very worried that this will hold me back from being able to complete clinicals. Has anyone else had an issue like this and if so were you able to continue on with clinicals? I have worked extremely hard to get to this point and don't want some dumb mistake that occurred on a canoe trip to hold me back. I didn't lie about it on my application I told them exactly what happened and the outcome of the case but I know its up to the clinical sites as to whether or not they will accept me to do clinicals.
