Dayshine

I started in the nursing field in January 2001 as a CNA. In 2008 I started a practical nursing program, nominated and voted in as the class secretary. Successfully completed the program in January of 2009, successfully passed my state boards in Ohio in February 2009. I worked continuously in the same long term care facility during this time. In November 2010 I moved to Maine and began working as a treatment nurse in a small town facility in rural Maine. I was quickly promoted from the treatment nurse to a charge nurse on the first shift within 2 months of starting. During my 4 years of employment with that company, I took as many training opportunities that were offered to me. I also worked on completing some of my pre-reqs for my associates. That small facility was forced to close their doors due to financial reasons. I was fortunate in securing new employment with another long term care facility about 30 miles from my home. Starting there as a charge nurse, and now having the opportunity to work as an MDS Coordinator. I am married with 4 children 2 biological girls, and 2 step sons. <3
