  1. Med surg or Post-partum for new grad

    Hey! I am graduating from nursing school in May and I am confused on what area I should begin my career in. I have interviews with a med-surg floor and in mother baby/post partum. I have always liked mother baby and want to go back to school soon to work as a NP in women's health. However, almost everyone has told me that working on med- surg for a year with better prepare me for NP school and improve my nursing skills. I am sure this is true but I feel like I am losing out on a year of women's health also. Please share your opinions or experience.
