  1. Hi! I've asked this already but managed to put it in the wrong forum I'm currently working as an operating department practitioner, which I gotta say I am loving, but the advancement prospects are not the greatest. I would like to have more freedom in the range of areas I can work in. So I was wondering, is it possible for me to take a short course to become a nurse? Or would I be required to do the full three year degree? Also has anyone here gone from being an ODP to a full nurse? Thanks :)
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome :) Ah thanks, I didn't know there was a UK forum *newbie*. Is there a way I can move the thread there?
  3. Hi guys, I'm currently an ODP in the UK. I've been wondering about this for a while now and can't seem to find anything on the web. Is it possible to become a nurse with an ODP Diploma i.e. is it possible to do a conversion course/short course to become a registered nurse as I already have some healthcare experience? Is there anyone here who has both qualifications or has converted one to the other? Thanks :)
