  1. I hope everyone's background check and immunization stuff went well. The next thing I'm waiting for is an email sometime in June - which could be this afternoon or in a few weeks. Does anyone have an idea of when we should expect that email?
  2. Considering how well you've been doing in school and managing what seems like an otherwise busy life, I would say that if TEAS goes well you are probably as ready as you will ever be. But if you don't want to push it, a year delay isn't the worst thing ever especially if you know you will stay busy with work, classes you will need, and healthy leisure if possible. Gut instincts are typically rooted in some fact and shouldn't be completely ignored.
  3. I completed the intent to enroll form and payment right away. No one else has received the email with student ID and advisor assignment yet, correct??
  4. I agree with most that you did the right thing....And don't feel ashamed for it!
  5. I have been there before in a non-nursing role. All different kinds of people get judged on first impressions. I would say just focus on how you can wow those same people with your positivity and effectiveness!
  6. Hi All, I was one of the lucky ones. I think that info sources about what to expect first semester of nursing school, in terms of day-to-day activities, may have limited helpfulness to us since our program is fairly unique. I have heard that labs start right away - learning and practicing clinical skills. I plan on doing some pre-studying for first semester classes in particular since I have heard it is by far the most difficult portion of the program.
