  1. Hi, I am looking to go back to school and change my career and I am interested in these fields. Can anyone give me some personal feedback on them? I know they are different but they both interest me. I am very undecided and would like to know if anyone has worked in both fields or can share opinions. Thanks, Cee :)
  2. I'm sorry, I think I made a mistake when I typed Radiologist. The program is to become an x-ray technician. It is also a two year and they have one here in Brooklyn at New York CC. I believe there are many options in nursing and my first choice would be pediatrics. Is it difficult to find a job in that field in NY? Would I have to go for extra schooling once my two years are completed? Thanks alot for you help... Cee
  3. Hi, I am new to these boards and have been deciding to go back to school. I currently have an associates in Business but I am interested in changing my career to work in the health field. I have been very undecided on which profession to go for and have been doing extensive research on 3. I have found many different opinions on these boards, and would like to get some on my choices. My interests are: RN, Physical Therapy Assistant, or Radiology. All three are helpful to people and present that feeling of accomplishment, but I am unsure what is good for me. I am not in this for the money, just stability... not to say money is not needed, but since graduating I have not found stability in my career. Being an RN sounds like its hardwork but less rewarding for your work, but I am not sure how I would react to being around all the blood. I have been watching the health channel, Life in the ER, and trying to see if my stomach would handle it and I have been doing fine. This is just TV though. I want to try to volunteer at a hospital here in NY but haven't found any information on that. Physical Therapy sounds very interesting, along with Radiology. I guess I am just looking to see if anyone has personal experiences in these fields that can help me with my decision. Also, I have read on here that I should try to become a CNA first, what is a CNA? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much. Cee
  4. Hi, I am new to these boards and have been doing extensive research for three professions in the health field and I found myself reading through the forums here. I have an associates in Business and I am looking for a career change into something that will help people and at the same time offer stability. My three interests are Registered Nurse, Physical Therapy assistant, and Radiologist. The research I have done tells me the "goods" and "bads" regarding these positions but I have yet to speak to people who actually work in these fields. I know that all will help people in some way, but each has its pro and cons with me. Is there anyone that can give me personal insight of any of these professions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.... Cee
