  1. I'm in for FNP DNP!!
  2. Thanks for putting the group together, Carolid !
  3. I'M IN!!!!!
  4. Admissions just emailed (and then clarified because there was a minor typo). Decisions will be available this Thursday 12/24/15. The wait continues...
  5. Oh I hope so! It would be nice to know soon (though the closer it gets the more nervous I'm getting). Good luck to you too!
  6. To my knowledge they haven't said specifically when we would hear (beyond the mention of the 20th on the website), though I also haven't specifically asked. I did ask if the longer interview process this year would mean a delay in decisions, but they said they didn't anticipate that being the case and at the very latest we would hear by the 22nd.
  7. I'm in DC and just got my rejection letter for FNP. Thanks to you all for being a support network through this process, and good luck to those interviewing!
  8. I emailed admissions last week and they said it should be by the 20th but will definitely be by the 22nd at the latest.
  9. My mail has been delivered today and no ucsf letter yet. The wait continues...
  10. gatewood does that mean you got your invitation?? Congrats!!
  11. Oh no! I'm sorry to hear, but thank you for updating us.
  12. Oh! Sorry for confusion- I was referring to the email exchange I had yesterday with the admissions rep. who helped me when one of my references was missing. I just asked him if he could share when we might expect to hear and he said that letters had been put in the mail on Wednesday.
  13. I'm not sure whether I should be hoping for an email today, or patiently waiting for the postal service on Monday (or later!). I feel like the little finding nemo snap I have as my picture is a perfect visualization of how I felt yesterday when 5:30 PST came and went without a notification. And when admissions emailed and said it would be snail mail. And this morning. And probably all weekend. The calm collected feeling I had leading up to this week is quickly evaporating as the confusion about when/how we will be notified increases. Hope ya'll are hanging in there!
  14. Oh man! now I'm more anxious. Will have to try harder to be patient.
  15. I agree. I'm also a bit frustrated because people who live closer will hear sooner. Doesn't really seem fair, and since I'm pretty far away I believe it means I'll have a longer wait than I was anticipating (and also IF i get an interview, the longer it takes to find out the more expensive the plane ticket will be)
  16. application status hadn't been updated when i checked a few hours ago, but I'm also having trouble with the website now.
  17. Update: I just emailed admissions and they said letters had been put in the mail yesterday. I guess we are getting snail mail after all!
  18. and that's 4:45pm Pacific time too, right? East Cost on edge all day over here!
  19. high five back to you! do we really think it's today?! eek!
  20. kdiem was actually nice enough to share some of the numbers earlier (on page 9 of this thread): Hello all! I'm a second year midwifery student. Was informed there are 63 CNM applicants for 10 positions and 98 FNP applicants for 18 positions. This may change of course, but those are some ballpark numbers! Good luck to everyone :) ^ if everybody's numbers line up that would mean there are 44 spaces left for the other specialties combined The FNP specialty page on the website lists some information about acceptance rates/ number of spaces from previous years, and in 2014 there were 18 MEPN FNPs (so no change to this year based on kdiem's info). There's also some interesting information available on this page: https://nursing.ucsf.edu/student-statistics I am so impressed with how helpful and active current students have been on this thread! Thank you all for your help and support!
  21. Thank you for offering to be such a helpful resource for us :) I have a couple more questions for you: In hindsight are there any questions you would have liked to ask your interviewers but didn't? Was there an opportunity for you to meet with any of the current students?
  22. Thanks for sharing that information! I have actually been wondering what proportion of the of applicants were invited to interview, so that's great to know.
  23. Also, reading through previous years' threads it looks like a majority (if not all) the communications were delivered via email. 1 more week!! Fingers crossed :)
  24. The website says: Invitations to interview letters and initial deny letters typically are dispatched in the second week of December. Be sure that we have your correct contact information and address for important messages. I believe that means we will be informed via email.
  25. I applied to direct entry FNP programs at UCSF, Columbia, Vanderbilt, and Yale. I also applied to direct entry MSN CNL programs at UVA and USD (San Diego). I've had an interview with UVA so far, and am patiently waiting to hear from the other schools.
