  1. hey , yeah I did , i was actually about to write you about it hahah. But I really want to take the class but I still have to take ethics this summer before the programs starts. I emailed ali about it and im waiting on her response. I think its a good idea to take it so the fall semester classes wont be to much. But hopefully she contacts me back so I can figure out if I can afford it first lol. what are you thinking about doing?
  2. They told me that they will send us a packet on what we have to do for our next steps like when to take the drug test the physical etc And yes we have to take a cpr class prior as well . It's a lot before we start but it's worth it and they will let us know when orientation starts as well . Most likely I'n June or July
  3. We both will do great and no unfortunately I wish I did . And you'll find something me and my boyfriend live in these aprtments in edwardsville that are 645 a month idk if that's to much but I can give you the info if your interested . But some more apartments open up in the summer so hopefully something cheaper comes about that's what we need. But I know the program has professors that want us to be successful so we will see how it goes but I am very excited !
  4. Yeah I understand . You will do amazing and even if you chose to be a doctor later or even a nurse practitionar you are still working in a positive direction you know . And your still young so you have so many possibilities . What did you have a bachelors in? And you'll do great don't worry and the aprtments here are kinda cheap so hopefully you'll find something . It's crazy where life takes you but never give up on yourself and work hard and you can accomplish anything í ½í¸‰
  5. It's fine I'm pretty sure you will do great . We all come from different backgrounds and I'm sure they will teach us what we need to know for success. No worries you'll be fine :) And yeah I live in edwardsville. I'm originally from Bolingbrook Illinois . I graduated from siue in May 2013 with a biology degree and minor in chemistry . My plan was to go to medical school . I took the mcat shadowed doctors and one day I was assigned to shadow a nurse practitionar and I loved it . So then I applied to the program hoping I was going to get accepted and moved here praying that I moved here for a purpose and when I found out I got in I knew it was meant to be so it was meant for you to get accepted don't worry at all I'm sure you'll be great
  6. Congradulations ☺️ And yes we have to wait until after April 1st when the application process closes and one of my friends just graduated from the program and is now working at Barnes Jewish hospital and I have another one that just finished the first semester and she said its tuff because all the classes have so much work but basically the first semester is all classes and the last 3 semesters are all 8 weeks clinicals but she loves it as well as the other one that just graduated she loved it to but they recommend not working so that's where im stuck at but we will see what happens . Do you live in edwardsville ?
  7. Hey how are you? Did you hear back from The program . I got my acceptance letter the second week of December and paid for my spot. Once you get the letter you have to take a physical in which they haven't told me when yet but I know its sometime in the summer from what my friends told me that are I'n the program from last year
  8. Hey ! I applied to the program October 15th and I received my acceptance letter the second week of December , I have a bachelors in biomedical sciences from Siue in may 2013 and my GPA was a 3.1 and I also had to take some pre reqs like pysch (lifespan) and ethics. I literally was going to there office a lot to figure out if I needed anything else , if you take any classes outside of Siue they want you to send them the syllabus of every class to make sure it fits with their standards . I hope you guys get accepted . from what I know they still have spots. The advisor at first was Karen and now its Ali . she is really helpful so if you have any questions I will defenilty email her .
