  1. Thank you enileg. I would recommend supplementing with saunders, this may make a difference as to whether u get a min of 75 questions or more. U dont have to read the whole big book just a few chapters. I only read about 5-6 short units, and read uworld rationales. To me, this time around the test look very similar to saunders question that is on the cd. I kinda wondered for a min if i didnt pass the first few times because i was busy doing kaplan etc which is more on the difficult side and ignored the easy but relevant questions. I HOPE THIS HELPS. Good luck you can do this!
  2. Hello everyone, I just wanted to leave an update about my nclex experience. I finally passed Nclex with 75 questions after failing 3 times. A special THANK YOU to everyone who commented and even went out of their way to help me with resources. I used kaplan and hurst my first 2 test. What really helped me pass was UWORLD QUESTIONS, and SAUNDERS CONTENT, ONLY READ LIKE 5-6 CHAPTERS. Uworld has questions and the best rationales out there. the best part about Uworld is that they give out 1 week free to access all their test bank, but be careful tho to make sure you are registering with the free version of their website. I thank God for making it possible for me to pass this test and i pray that He does the same for all of you who may be preparing to take the test. if u have any questions. pls do not hesitate to email me. God bless.
  3. Thank u InGodITrust, I have so many good report about the book, the one i have is called prioritization delegation and management of care. I will look for LaCharity at my local library and give it a try. Thanks again
  4. Thats awesome FaithinJesus, congratulations on passing the nclex and thank you for the encourage. You give me hope because sometimes i feel like to pass this test I have to enroll on some program like kaplan which i cannot afforfd. Its feels good to know that there are people like u who have passed using the cheaper route.
  5. QuietRiot, I wish that was the case. found out i failed
  6. Chocolate_RN85, I did read some of your post..very encouraging. Thank u
  7. OK, Thank u JustBeachyNurse.
  8. Thank you Chocolate_RN85, for the encouragement. At first when i realized i failed, I thought to my self what a failure I am. But I do know this Nclex is just another test. I WILL NOT LET IT DEFINE ME. I pray i come back here with good news.
  9. Yes JusebeachyNurse, u are right about both the email and copyright info. U never know what u would do when u are in a confused state of mine. At the time i posted that message i'm not sure what i was thinking. I'm going to try NCSBN as it is affordable. Khan seem to be really good, i'm using that as well to study. Thanks.
  10. Hello Scaredsilly, I was in need of any kind of resources that could help with tackling this exam. A couple of people told me about websites with thousands of practice questions. I'm back at studying and hopefully I will be back with good news.
  11. Thank you so much Kalycat, I just looked up the website Khan Academy and i like it. I will be using this along side other study materials. I do know about the copyright stuff, but when i first posted on this site i wasnt on my right mind as i just realized i failed the nclex again.....at that point I was so desperate and confused. I cried my eyeballs off, but i did get it out of my system. I'm ready to get at it again. I will be coming back to tell yall the good news soon.
  12. Thank you Kssturdi, congratulations on passing the Nclex. I know this exam is very possible. I'm not giving up. You are right, i have to invest time and money in order to get the result I want. but in the situation that i do not have money....I will hit the nclex books hard and do as much questions as possible. Hopefully I will come back here with good news in a couple of weeks
  13. Thank you Shawnpea for the encouragement. When I'm doing the practice questions, I seem to do very well, but i think I let my nerves get a hold of me when taking the exam. I will check with my local library and just use the books i have. Hopefully I will come back with good nesw in a couple of weeks.
  14. Thank you Justbeachynurse, I didnt know that putting my personal email on this site was a violation. I will try the hurst review free trial and also check my local library to see what i can get. I decided since i cannot afford the expensive nclex reviews, I will just tackle this one nclex book at a time untill i'm confidence to retake again. Hopefully I will come back here to this site with good news. I will not give up
  15. The first exam i did mostly questions, the second exam I did both content and questions. I used kaplan book, Davis's Q & A, Priority and delegation management book by Ray Grove, Exam cram book and questions. And also I did the free kaplan trainer 1-7 online and some practices on quizlet. I really want to try kaplan course and question bank and hurst but I really cannot afford it due to my current situation. I have heard about caring4you.net, she is good but also pricey. I am looking around to seee if anyone who took the kaplan and hurst or any other review course can help me out.
  16. Hello, I am writing this with a heavy heart as i found out that i may have failed Nclex the second time. I did the pearsonvue trick and it took my $200 so i did not get the good pop. I am thinking of doing the hurst review and kaplan but am not financial able to to because I just had a baby and i had to spent so much money out of pocket because my insurance would not cover most of the hospital bill. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has taken any nclex prep that can help me, I would appreciate any help i can get, from study materials to study schedule. Also I would appreciate if anyone that has taken hurst review, kaplan etc can email me at [email protected]. I am at a cross road and i need help!!! Thanks
  17. Hello, I am preparing for the nclex test, Could you pls email me at [email protected]. i have a few questions about preparing for the test. thank u
