Thank you so much for the advice and clarification Philvane! It's definitely helpful to know the parameters that we'll have to stay within to be exempt from the course. One less course is always a bonus.

Hello All! I haven't booked the assessment yet but will do so soon. Philvane, thanks for all the advice thus far! Were you exempt from the Communications class? I'm just wondering what grade is required to be exempt from the course. I've read previous threads and it seems that only individuals who've taken previous Communications courses are exempt. Some people have received near perfect scores and still have to take the online course. Any advice is greatly appreciated in advance. Thanks!

Hi bgibby, when did you complete the HOAE? Also, there were only 45 spelling questions and 90 vocational questions on the HOAE so you couldn't have received a score of 52 and 120 respectively on the test. Not sure if you looked at the correct column when checking your scores? Don't look at the "normalized scores" as they don't take that into account. They will be looking at your "raw score".

Hello All! I checked my Mocomotion account today and received an offer of admission from Mohawk to start Fall 2015. Under "Offer Status" it says "Final Offer" and I have until May 1, 2015 to make my decision. This is much quicker than I anticipated as I was told the offers would not be posted until next week. The update has not been posted on my OCAS account yet. Lucinia and swmak, I wish you the best of luck and hope to see you both this Fall at Mohawk! FYI, I received approximately the same combined average as both of you. My high school average was 82.75%, breakdown: English 75%, Biology 84%, Physics 81%, Math 91%. My HOAE average was 82.6%, breakdown: Academic Aptitude= 63, Spelling = 40, Natural Science = 45, Reading Comprehension = 26, Vocational = 83. Best of luck to all!
