  1. They're available now! Get em while they're open!
  2. Got an interview invite but there's no availability to choose a date already? Anyone else? Tried calling the school but no answer/vm is full.
  3. I included a lot of it in my essay. But the questions asked didn't highlight me. Like someone else pointed out too. I did take stick a few things in that wasn't asked. So I'd still say do that. They didn't ask why Fairfield, but I mentioned why a little bit. My interview skills suck, so I have to imrpove that as well but I think you can always just include what you want after you answer their question.
  4. Don't let it get you down too much, next app cycle is 9 months away. You got this. If I can add my two cents. Find leadership opportunities that you can highlight and work on. That's what I'm going to be doing. As the CRNA, you're it. Leadership is going to be huge and they even have courses that centered around leadership practice in the curriculum. You can always improve, your work experience is great, but think what can set you apart.
  5. Being realistic, there's 11 members in that FB group. That's just the people that even know it exists. I'm going to go ahead and assume the class has been filled for a min now.
  6. Did you have to get an application in before the deadline, or did you ask if you can be considered for Austin as well? I missed the deadline so I'm just curious.
  7. Maybe Friday by 4pm? This way they're already leaving and at home for the weekend.
  8. If it doesn't go in my favor this time, there's always next year which is only 9 months away. Also, I've made a few friends interview day, and one was accepted early.
  9. Oh man. I knew being socially inept would come back to haunt me one day.
  10. No. That's impossible. I haven't been accepted early. jk.
  11. Yea it's not looking good unfortunately. If they accept only 2 people each interview days, they'd essentially have the class filled already by the last interview date. I think that last is today. I'm already prepping for next year.
  12. Do your best to prepare and just be yourself.
  13. I'm not sure that I know the exact schedule but pretty sure interviews and writing are at the end of the day. I don't know how many candidates are on each date but I imagine interviews are fairly short and sweet. I have sweaty palms just thinking about it but I'm gonna try to just enjoy the day.
  14. Anyone been able to find out if their interview is more clinical or EI, or both? I know there's a new director of the program this year so maybe things changed.
  15. I got an invite too. What day is your interview for?
  16. Hey guys, just wanted to throw this post out there to get things started. I applied and just waiting to hear back. Good luck to everyone who applied.
  17. I wanted to know if it was preferred to have psych experience, maybe have a psych degree or anything else - experience and education wise - in order to find a job after getting your PMHNP. It’s always easy to be allowed to sit for an exam but being allowed to find a job in the field is another story. I reached out to a girl I know through LinkedIn who has all three, experience in the field, 4 year degree, and PMHNP. She never answered, I thought you guys would be able to chime in. I’m in the NY metro area, and my experience is mainly critical care.
