  1. In some states you can challenge the paramedic exam with your RN license and your EMT-B... You can do your BSN be a firefighter-medic have your benefits and pension, make extra money working per diem as a nurse. This all depends on your end goal though and what you want to do.
  2. Thank you guys for the reply really appreciate it! It all makes sense I feel better now lol
  3. Hello! I have been practicing questions for the nclex using NCSBN and Kaplan. My question is on medication errors, on one of Kaplan's questions: (SATA) Nurse administers medication. While documenting the administration, the nurse realizes an error in administration. What actions must the nurse take? Correct answers: evaluate the effect of the med, notify the pcp, notify the patient of the error, complete an occurrence report. As I recall (no longer have access to NCSBN), we do not notify the patient if there was a medication error, I also vaguely remember it being on an ATI question during school, to not let the patient know of the medication error. Please correct me if I misunderstood the way medication errors are handled in the "nclex hospital". Thanks for your help I am taking the NCLEX next week! :)
