  1. Scrub caps??

    Not sure where this thred belongs but here goes. Ive been a nurse for 30 yrs and have seen the old standard nursing cap come and go. Yep im old. Lol However, my question is this: is it now acceptable for nurses to wear surgical / scrub caps on the main nursing floors such as pediatrics and medical floors for their 12 hour shifts? I recently had a family member in patient and was shocked to see several young nurses with matching scrub tops and caps. Yes they were cute but just didnt seem the nursing floor was the appropriate place!!! Appreciate anyones thoughts or experience.
