Illinois State University ABSN Program- 2011 start
Hello! I know this post is very old, but was wondering if you ended up finishing the program and could tell me anything about your experience. I start May 2016 and would really appreciate anything you could share!

Lakeview college of Nursing, it's near EIU. There are many curriculum options, but I think the shortest is 16 months (Fall-Spring-Summer-Fall). From my understanding it was in the 30k price range so also not bad at all for a private accelerated program, just sort of in the middle of nowhere haha (Danville, IL).

Oh i would have loved to go to UIC too! actually, at Valparaiso University where I'm going, the accelerated program is open to people without previous bachelor's degrees! It was one of two schools that I've found that offer that. It is significantly more expensive, so it really comes down to time vs. money, but that is definitely an option if you had your heart set on an accelerated program.

I don't mind at all! I only had a 3.2 cumulative GPA, but I have a 3.9 in my prerequisites (and I know their website says they care primarily about the prerequisite GPA). I have Microbiology in progress now, but that's it. Also, I'm not sure if they accepted my stats class so if not, then those are the only two prerequisites I have in progress, which would explain why I was accepted for Spring 2016. Also, I didn't take the accuplacer because I already have my bachelor's degree. Hope that helps!
