  1. How competitive is it to get into a Psych Mental Health NP program? Also, how hard is it to find a job after graduating? Would it be extremely difficult to find a Pediatric Psych NP job? Thanks!
  2. I've been a nurse for 5 years. Sorry I don't get on this website ever, I just though I could get some information. And to answer your question I worked in NICU for 2 years, med surg 1 year, and IR 2 years. Not that that's any of your business. Also, I know what USA requires and what GPA they look at. The only thing I don't know is what specialties are easiest to get into. But I know how the system works in general.
  3. I didn't post this to get people's opinions. I posted it to get facts. So if you don't have those facts please don't comment. Thanks
  4. I used to be a NICU nurse so I'd be happy with that, but I've also been a nurse in several other areas as well. I'd literally be happy doing any of it, I'm not just saying that. And as for the school ID be going to university of south Alabama which will take as low as a 2.75, it's just some areas are more open than others.
  5. I know why my GPA is low, but thanks. It actually has to do with my undergrad classes and me only doing enough to get by and never studying. I did fine in nursing school.
  6. I'm about to apply to NP school with a 2.75 GPA. I don't really care what specialty I go into, I just know I want to be a NP. I'd be happy with any track. That being said... What is the EASIEST specialty to get accepted into?
  7. I want to be a nurse practitioner very badly but I didn't take college or nursing school very seriously and I studied enough to get by, making my GPA about 2.8. I have experience as an interventional radiology nurse, NICU nurse, and med-surg nurse. I'm interested in a becoming ANY kind of NP (medical or psychiatric) and I am about to apply, but I have to choose a specialty. What is the EASIEST specialty to get accepted into NP school??
