  1. Hi bubbles500, We accept applications every semester for Fall, Spring, and Summer cohorts. Generally speaking, the eLine (online) track receives about 35-50 applications per semester and roughly 10-15 applicants are offered admission to the eLine track. Please keep in mind that these are rough estimates and competitiveness of the application pools change from semester to semester. I hope this information helps! ~eLine_Advisor
  2. Hi TeeRNaspire, I apologize for the delay in responding! We do offer clinical placement in sites all over Texas, including Houston. However, if a local/regional clinical site cannot be secured, you will be required to travel to meet the clinical requirements. I'd like to share with you the eLine clinical acknowledgment from our recently updated website here: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) - eLine - Texas A&M University Corpus Christi - the Island University "eLine Clinical Acknowledgement: The College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CONHS) will attempt to secure appropriate clinical placement in the student's region (in Texas). The College of Nursing and Health Sciences makes no guarantee, implied or otherwise, to the availability of appropriate clinical sites or the ability to secure appropriate clinical placement in the student's region. If the CONHS is not able to successfully secure the appropriate clinical placement, the student, at the student's expense, will be required to travel to successfully complete clinical course requirements. This could include, but is not limited to, travel to Corpus Christi." Also, the nursing program is 5 semesters in length and follows a prescribed set of 2-3 courses each semester. Students would not be allowed to take only 1 course per semester without administration approval. I hope this information helps! ~eLine_Advisor
  3. Hi OrganizedChaos, Good question! In short, students in the face-to-face BSN track will attend classes on campus and complete their clinicals in the Corpus Christi community. The eLine BSN track blends at-a-distance coursework with face-to-face clinical experiences. It is important to note that though the eLine track is "online," there are some on-campus requirements such as attending Nursing Student Orientation prior to the start of your first semester and completing a skills demonstration & check-off mid-way through the first semester. Additionally, students may have to travel to meet clinical requirements. I hope this information helps! ~eLine_Advisor
  4. Hi 2brn09, First, thank you for your service! I'm happy to hear you're interested in the nursing program at TAMUCC. To answer your question, our BSN program is 5 semesters in length for both the on-campus (face-to-face) and online (eLine) tracks. You mentioned you are a veteran... do you have any medical training while in the military? If so, you may be eligible to apply to the eLine Military track. You can view more information about the eLM program here TAMUCC CONHS eLine Military Program |. All students should keep in mind that there are minimum eligibility requirements to apply to the nursing program. You can view our eligibility requirements here Texas A&M University Corpus Christi - the Island University. Application information and deadlines can be found here Texas A&M University Corpus Christi - the Island University. Please note that the application to the nursing program is due 2 semesters prior to your expected start to the nursing program. I hope this helps! ~eLine_Advisor
