I am looking for a house and it's hard because some areas are shady. I look on craigslist, homes.com, Zillow or any website possible. When it gets closer to January, I will start looking at the realtors. I'm going to Sand and Sea because they rent houses on the west end which I prefer so that I can get away. My advice would be not to rent until you see the place! I learned my lesson the hard way.

If anyone is interested in moving to Galveston before school begins and needs a place to stay until January (I will be moving in January to a house), I have an extra bedroom that is already furnished and has everything you need (even an Xbox) for 600 bucks a month.

For all of you who like to workout, the UTMB Field house is only 12 bucks a month until January for those that have been accepted. After January it is free. It is the best gym on the island. Just a FYI .

The only date that it gave was the deadline which is October 31st and it isn't a first come first serve kind of thing. I guess that will start reviewing after Oct 31st. I'm not sure how that process goes.

I applied on mystar. When you log on, go to campus solutions and then you will see an icon for Online Scholarship Application. Click that and you will see it. You should of gotten an email from UTMB Outlook. All that is required is that you fill your FASFA and then you can apply for all of them. When you apply, all you have to do is check it and submit. No essays! There are like three that require a reference letter.

Was there a Facebook page for Class of Spring 2017 made? Can't seem to find it. I also applied for the scholarships today and it wasn't hard at all. I advise everyone to at least try for them if you need it :).

I originally applied for fall. I didn't get an answer until the week before the application deadline for Spring 2016. I got my application ready to submit before the last day just in case but ended up getting waitlisted so I didn't have to submit application for Spring. Hope this helps. You will hear something before the application deadline for Summer.

I got my Hep B Titer on 61st at the Urgent Care for 20 bucks! I talked with the lady for my TB shot at the Student Health Center and she said that I can complete TB shot 1st week of January with them.

Has anyone started the scholarship process? I am trying but it keeps telling me that I am not eligible because I am not a student. Is anyone having this problem?

I haven't received anything in mail except for a acceptance letter, disability form and a form with the prerequisites that haven't been completed. I've mailed those forms in and haven't received anything else. I also received an email on my new utmb email about scholarships so I completed my fasfa. Now I'm just waiting...

Class of Spring 2017?

Hey everybody!! I was wait listed for fall with a guaranteed spot for Spring. Just got my letter for Spring and can't wait to meet all of you!

When you log on click on campus solution then student center and when that page pops up scroll down and you will see it.

So is mine but it said Spring 2017... Hopefully this means class of 2017 right?

For you guys with conditional acceptance for Spring, are y'all doing the precheck with drug screening? I tried clicking on the link in our check off sheet but it is sending me to a page not found. I also tried to email Mrs. Botello but she is on vacation. I'm just wondering if any of you have talked with her on this?

Not me. I'm waiting and hopefully we both get pulled off the waitlist.

I asked the lady at the student health center on campus and she said it was fine if we missed the deadline. I just submitted everything except for tb test and she said that she couldn't process me any further until I'm accepted. I'm on the waitlist with conditional acceptance.

Everybody is getting different answers. I was told this past Monday and now it's next Monday or the 31st..... It's getting annoying. I also applied for another college in fall and more than likely I'm excepted because they were waiting for my grades this week which were great. All As!! Anyways, I would prefer UTMB but why do they have to wait to the very last minute?? I'm going crazy! I hate not being able to plan!

I have a feeling that Monday is going to be important to us knowing if we are in or not. They should be wrapping it up for the fall so they can't get started with spring on time.. Hopefully we can all know what are our status is next week.

I remember them speaking about that in the first couple of pages on here and it was normal but I'm not 100%. Congrats and hopefully we will be classmates.

Hello everybody! Just got finished with my interview and it wasn't that stressful. The questions were: What are your study habits? If you are struggling in a class, what would you do? Say THE TEACHER WOULD BE THE FIRST TO NOTIFY. Are there any other priorities that will get in the way of your studies? What challenges do you fear with nursing school? I asked at the end of interview on the waves of interviews and she said, "they said that this is our last wave but it could change". I also asked if you are interviewed, what are the chances of you getting in and she said, "Not everybody that we interview gets in. There are about 40 of us and I alone have interviewed 10 people so it's not a guarantee". Hope this helps some. Scares me because now it's another waiting game. Good luck everyone!!
