  1. Rococo- you say you're in Redmond? I'm in Kirkland and I got my letter today. Maybe they send them out in alphabetical order? Who knows how they do it.
  2. I finally heard back! It turns out they didn't want me at UW. But, I got accepted into SU so I may meet some of you people during our clinicals. I'm just thankful that I got to experience the application process with everyone on here. The support, positivity, and advice calmed my nerves during these last several months. Good luck to everyone who got in! It's only the beginning!
  3. Okay that makes me feel better. I guess we will have to wait for tomorrow to find out!
  4. I feel like my mailman is withholding my mail 😣. This is the second day in a row where my home received no mail. I'm sure it has happened before, but it's making me anxious.
  5. Yay! Congrats! Now I'm anxious to get home!!
  6. @Decapili12 - UW looks at your grades, resume, reference letter, and application essay. If you send all the appropriate documents in the application, you get invited to do the proctored essay a couple months after the application deadline. I read from previous cohorts that each of those are weighed evenly (20%) each.
  7. My mail didn't come today...I think the mail carrier forgot about my house. 😣
  8. Maybe it will take a couple days @msd123
  9. Finally!! For some reason, I thought the 7th was last week. When I went to get coffee with a girlfriend yesterday, she asked me about it, and I talked about those letters as if they had already been sent. Ugh. We will find out soon! Good luck everyone!
  10. Lol that's the perfect way to describe it!
  11. Hey guys. I don't know if you already know, but there's an SU group on facebook for our cohort. You need to use your SU email to be accepted. Just search Seattle University Nursing Transfer Cohort 2017.
  12. Congrats to everyone that got into SU. I'm also new to this chat. Did you guys know there's two SU forums?
  13. @msd123 you know, i was just thinking just that yesterday. Every time I see a big envelope in the mail, I automatically think it's from a nursing school. It happened to me yesterday. *sigh* where are you UW?
  14. @mab_dog94 Dang, I have almost double that amount of UCOR classes. I wanted to see if I could take some of those courses at a near by community college before starting in the fall. I can't find an equivalency for the ones I would need, though. :/
  15. I too received a transfer scholarship. It should have came in your folder.
  16. We should get an email from the school about financial aid in June at the latest.
  17. @mabdog_94 I couldn't find anything on summer courses at SU, but I don't think they offer it because I had a buddy who went to SU. He would work per diem at my job during his seasonal breaks, and he was there during the summer.
  18. Jtrang- I didn't apply to SPU. I think they required a TEAS test in their application, which prevented me from applying. I applied for SU, UW, and Linfeild in Portland, OR.
  19. Oh okay. Let me know how that financial aid stuff goes. Good luck on finals! I took my last final on Friday and will FINALLY get my AA after five years of on and off part time school.
  20. Congratulations!! It's going to be an exciting and stressful journey! Lol
  21. @mabdog_94 I have a question about financial aid. If we added the school to our FAFSA, do we wait to get an email? I'm new to financial aid, and not quite sure how it works, or what to look out for.
  22. @mabdog_94 congrats to you too! If money was no factor, SU is definitely top of the list. However, we all know that UW triumphs SU in terms of affordability. If I get accepted into UW, I would be very excited, but torn between the type of experience I want out of a program, and money.
  23. Mine was in a Manila envelope. It felt dense because everything was put inside a folder, except for the acceptance letter. I almost ripped that letter out of excitement of finally receiving something. The wait is the hardest part.
  24. Hey all. I'm new to this thread, but wanted to check out what others were talking about. I applied for the BSN 2015 transfer program, and got my acceptance letter today! Good luck to everyone else. I'm pretty sure this is the school I'm going to choose for my future nursing journey. I'm still waiting from UW and Linfeild in Portland.
  25. I got mine from SU today and got accepted!! You'll get yours soon :)
