  1. I haven't posted in a while but I was also accepted to the PMHNP program a couple weeks ago :) I'm hoping to work at least per diem while I'm in school. Are most of you all already located in the Bay Area? For the fellow PMHNP nurses - just out of curiosity do you have actual psych experience as a RN?
  2. I still haven't heard anything :/
  3. That's awesome! Thanks for sharing! I didn't know they were doing interviews at all either. Maybe I'll just call later this week if I still don't hear anything because I know I'll be going crazy haha. Good luck with your interview! Hopefully next time you post you'll be telling us all you're admitted :)
  4. Oh wow congrats! When is the interview? I applied for PMHNP but haven't heard anything yet. Do you know if they're interviewing everyone? Like if I don't get contacted for an interview that means I'm not getting accepted ?
  5. I didn't apply to the Peds NP program but I was under the impression everyone would know by April. A friend of mine actually called in and the woman she talked to was the one who sends out all the emails. She looked up her name and application specifically to tell her the status because it hadn't changed from "Application Complete". In their system all it said was "Screening" but I think they update theirs differently and then maybe send out emails when each specialty is completely done making decisions so at least all the areas know at the same time within their specialty.
  6. That's awesome :) Congrats! Just out of curiosity because no other specialty did interviews (as far as I know) how was it? Did they just ask you questions related to your application?
  7. Any updates? Still haven't heard anything and I can't help but check my email constantly for updates. Hopefully we will start to hear back over the next couple of weeks.
  8. Still no changes for me either. For those that interviewed this week (I believe for the midwifery program) how did it go?! Any good news to report? Fingers crossed :)
  9. I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get in. I doubt it would be your stats class because I think they said at the info session if it wasn't taken in the last five years you could easily just take it again before the start of the program in the Fall. One thing they did emphasize as being a strong characteristic in an application was experience with underserved populations and a desire to want to continue to work with that demographic in the future so I think they really look for that to be expressed in the application. It's so competitive because it's such an amazing program which is nerve wracking because I feel everyone who applies is qualified and it's just a matter of whether or not they see some special quality in your application that matches their goals as well. Best of luck in the future :) Keep us updated with any insight you may get about why you weren't admitted! I'm getting so nervous now that more people are hearing back 😣
  10. Interviews? I was told by someone in the admissions office there was no interviews for the MSN program but maybe that was just for the PMHNP specialty? During the information session I was told the same thing too. Have any other specialties had interviews set up? Either way, congratulations! Let us know how it goes :)
  11. Has anyone noticed any changes under their status yet? Mine still just says "Application complete". I would think it would change to "Under review" or something, right?
  12. Mine says the same thing - "Completed" and I got an automated email saying it was submitted, is complete and is now under review by the admissions committee. I'm wondering if we won't see any change until after they send out admission decisions for the MEPN class this year (assuming they won't work on ours until after that is all done with). Do you guys know of the people who got it in the past was there any common factor in their applications? I read in last year's thread for MSN that experience with underserved populations seemed to have the most emphasis on it. Also, since the MSN program has rolling admissions I heard that some of the 'top' applicants who applied by the priority deadline ( February 2nd this year) will hear first and then as more and more applications come in they will then make the rest of the decisions based on the complete pool of applicants. So technically some people could hear March and others not until April for the same speciality. Has anyone else heard of this?
  13. I applied to the PMHNP program. What about everyone else? Is this your first time applying?
  14. I have! It's only been a week since the priority deadline and I'm still so nervous 😳 I'm going to the information session tonight even though I already applied hoping they'll share some information on when we can expect to hear back this year.
