I just got my acceptance email from OHSU. Seems realllly late in the game... I heard about my acceptance to UCSF, Yale and Duke weeks ago. OHSU was really late with their interviews invitations as well. Any thoughts about why their process is so behind?

I also got into the PMHNP program, but I decided go attend my top choice of UCSF (whoop!), so someone on the waitlist will be a happy camper soon!

If you're looking for ranking, Yale is 3rd and OHSU is 7th. I also interviewed for both schools and I can say I like Portland MUCH better as a place to live, but not convinced it's a better program. They do like to encourage people to do the DNP there, which could be good or just a waste of money depending on your career goals. I've also heard Yale described as "conservative," so i'd think more about that if you're into social justice.

I got in for the psych tract too! Congrats to you all who will be attending, and also to those who made it as far as you did. It's a big accomplishment just getting through the interviews.

Just heard back from UCSF. Yale is next week. Did you apply to either of those too?

I have a MacBook and it's great, but I hate lugging it around. thinking about getting a tablet system for school stuff - taking notes on powerpoints, reading pdfs & c. Any suggestions or experience with these?

Don't give up! You don't have to upheave your life, just make a few key changes.

The interview was ok, but somewhat strange feeling. Four people interviewed me and they weren't too responsive or warm. I have heard this before, though, so maybe it's just their style. They asked me to fill out a self assessment of some skills that are pretty clearly nursing-related. Then they asked me to reflect on the skills, and on the process of doing the assessment. I wasn't really sure what to say and kind of bumbled through. You might give this some thought.

She said it was a few years ago and the speciality doesn't exist any more - adult gero/women's health...

I met a former Yale nursing student (GEPN > MSN) that described the nursing school as "conservative". Can anyone elaborate? I was just chatting with her before a brunch, and she was seated first so I didn't get a chance to follow up.

I got a call last week for an interview but I applied for th ABSN>PMHNP program, so the timing might be different?? IDK. good luck to you!
