  1. Hi, I recommend renting only because I know that I won't be using the books anymore after the class is over. Sometimes renting is just as expensive as buying so in that case I rather purchase the books.
  2. The evening program is very challenging. Our classes are 7 weeks long so everything is condensed. It's doable if you are able to prioritize. The morning program is 4 semesters long (5 semesters for the evening) and you have a higher course load compared to the evening program.
  3. Hello, I'm currently in my third week of the evening weekend program and am currently not taking any ATI classes at the moment. I was told that you take the ATI for certain classes and those are pass or fail only.
  4. Omg!!! I'm still in vacation mode haha. Time to hit the books.
  5. Three more days everybody before school officially starts!!! :)
  6. Sorry for the redundant answers. I did not realize Puppylover3 answered before me! Haha.
  7. Hi, Epic is a program used for electronic health records. Epic classes teach you how to navigate the program for when you need to chart on your patients once you start working in a hospital, nursing home, assisted living, etc. The school is in charge of your schedule the first two semesters you are there and after that you can choose your own schedule going forward.
  8. No problem. Yes. I just clicked through everything and did the exams at the end. Haha.
  9. Don, I live in Brookfield and work at St. Mary's Hospital which is literally a few blocks away from Resurrection University. It usually takes me 30 minutes on a good day. Naperville is about 30 minutes away from Brookfield as well. You should be fine with your commute barring any accidents, traffic, construction, etc. The commute might take a little longer in the winter though.
  10. Hi Don! Yes, I am in the evening and weekend program.
  11. Hi, I believe Lewis University is also a BSN program like Resurrection so they are both equal in that regard. The evening/weekend program here at Resurrection is approximately 5 semesters and the morning program can be completed in as little as 4 semesters. I am unsure about the program length for Lewis University. Resurrection is expensive but they do offer tuition reimbursement if you work at any of their hospitals after you graduate. I would also look into scholarships, grants, etc if money is an issue. Write down a list of pros and cons for each school to narrow it down. Good luck with your choice!
  12. Thanks Alexandra! Please keep us updated with your application!
  13. I just called Resurrection University and spoke to Mallory. She sent me the e-mail with intent to enroll and the option to pay the $150.00. For some odd reason the intent to enroll and option to pay was never sent to me through e-mail even though I was accepted a few weeks ago. I would suggest if others have a similar problem to call Resurrection University directly or even check your spam folder in you e-mail.
  14. How were you able to answer the intent to enroll and pay the $150.00? What website did you do it through? I keep getting a access forbidden page preventing me from enrolling and paying the $150.00.
  15. Congratulations! Are you able to access your CampusPortal on the Resurrection University website to reserve your seat?
  16. I know that feeling. What really helped me was trying to not think about my application and trying to keep myself busy. Good luck!
  17. Hi Mandy, I have been accepted into the evening/weekend program. I am in the process of trying to submit my enrollment form and pay the $150.00 enrollment fee to reserve my seat for the Summer term. My other schools of choice that I wanted to apply to were Lewis University and Triton College. Resurrection was my first choice because I currently work at one of their hospitals and they offer tuition reimbursement for employees.
  18. Hello everyone, My name is Bryan and I thought it would be helpful to start a new thread in order to connect with others who have either applied/or are already accepted into the Resurrection University Summer 2015 program. Please feel free to comment and ask any questions. I am looking forward to hearing from all of you soon!
