Hi all, Recently, I graduated highschool and am now going to University of Toronto. I was originally offered into the 4 year nursing program at York university but declined it because of where the campus actually was (seneca and york itself) and prefer living in downtown Toronto. Going to U of T, I thought I could enter their second-entry nursing program during my 2nd-3rd year but now it's becoming clearer and clearer that I probably won't be able to do that and would have to complete a degree which would take 4 year and an additional 2 years to complete their nursing program assuming I got in. I feel like I've wasted 2 years of my life. I was hoping if someone could give me some advice on what to do? Thanks.

Hi, A bit of background information. I am currently a high school student that's soon to graduate. I've been offered a place at the University of Toronto and I have already accepted their offer. This is mainly because I believe I will have more options open to me in case I decide to not do nursing after my first year of university (attending faculty of arts and sciences: life sciences). In addition to this, I heard that their program offered the most clinical hours, which I believe that experience is extremely important. I would have went straight into undergraduate program for nursing at another university if some personal matters didn't pop up and now I need to stay nearby my relatives, hence UofT would be the closest. Anyways, I am planning to do nursing at University of Toronto (UofT) and was wondering how their admission will work for someone like me. I'm starting to read a lot of rumours that their second entry program is mainly intended for people who already have a bachelors degree (which is really stressing me out because I'm scared I made the wrong choice) and when I accepted their offer, I thought I could apply to their nursing program during my second year once my pre-reqs have been/are currently being taken. Is it possible for someone like me, with no bachelor degree or masters etc., to do nursing as a second entry program in UofT, or any universities for that matter? Thanks!
