Its nice to know that someone is able to find a job....Congratulations. I just passed my boards too but no luck finding a job.....I did my clinical in Louisiana and moved Miami recently....the job market for NP seems to be pretty bad here

Hey guys I have been reading post on this site regarding AANP exam so I had to give my two cents on it I passed my AANP- Adult gero exam yesterday on first try. And first of all I want to Thank god and my family for this achievement For preparation, I used Hollier CDs and book that goes along with it. I bought her CDs so I can listen to them anytime and as many times as I want which really helped. I also did Leik fast facts book that has 629 questions on the back that also helped a lot. I did read all the chapters and made my own notes. I used flashcards to memorize the antibiotics for diseases. I think for me learning the antibiotics was hard that's why I had to make flashcards. I wrote my own notes from leik book as I read it the very first time so I can review my notes a day before the test since it would be impossible to go thru the whole book. Also a week before my test I bought AANP adult gero practice exam that has 75 questions and scored 77% on it. I also watched youtube videos on some maneuvers to understand them better. As you give the test you will come across some hard questions but don't even try to judge how you are doing on the test, whether you are going to pass or fail because this will make you nervous and your confidence will go down and you may not be able to concentrate on the exam itself. On day of the exam I reviewed all my notes/flashcards and looked over hollier book. I tried not to drink too much water because there is not any scheduled break in this test. I didn't want to lose this valuable 180 minutes of my life. Also I didn't go back to change any answer.
