  1. Yes I know! But unfortunately several of the preceptors/NPs I knew could only tell me they remembered how confused they were as well and didn't really recall how to do this again haha! I just figured it was similar to those companies you can pay to find you a preceptor. We were just left quite confused trying to figure out state laws and my god it is hard to get ahold of these boards of nursing for questions! So as a class we decided to pool together and just refocus our time on finishing school and studying for boards and interviewing. Too bad I'm not in NY! But thanks for the link hopefully someone else can use it!
  2. I'm graduating this spring with my FNP and had the most confusing class ever - our instructor tried to explain the licensing process to us. WHAT THE HECK?!?! But I thought I'd share what I found because I can't be the only one confused. there's a website called Np2Be www.np2be.com and it has packages that literally walk you step by step through the process!! My class size is about 12 and they offer group rates so we have signed up for the middle package! It doesn't even matter what state you're getting licensed in or what specialty you are. I think it's owned and run by 2 NPs and they have been so pleasant to deal with. I just had to share because the process was so confusing to us and the customer service has been great! I hope it can help others!
