  1. I can't compare LLU to any other schools. However, what I can say is that the professors and the university wants you to succeed and do well. Thus, the school is great and have academic resources to help you improve your studying skills and habits. With that said, LLU does come with a hefty price so be sure to watch out for that and make sure you have your financial stuff in order because it will come fast. Since I have started at the school in spring of 2015, I have been able to communicate with the staff and professors with ease. Some of my peers and my self have been able to easily obtain an entry job within the hospital and or university over the summer. I am only 1 quarter in and I do not regret coming here. The only thing that might have changed my mind is if I found a program that was shorter before applying to LLU. LLU has summer breaks which can drag onto 2.5-3 years before you finish. There are some programs out there that can be done as little as in 18months with the same benefit and degree for a far less price tag.
  2. Congratulations! you will enjoy the program and the environment
  3. Hi Haley, A good tip is to do the best in your prereq courses and do well on your teas. Also you can get started on your application now and take a look at the essay questions you have to submit. Good luck
  4. Just to update for future students, I got off the waiting list and was offered a spot to LLU :)
  5. Hi Emma, I will be honest, you need to get a higher teas score with your gpa being 3.0. Also, fall class is the most competitive, you will compete with students who are 3.5 gpa+ with a teas 85+. However, I don't know your full story such as EC or your connection with SDA. Sometimes it is not about what you know but who you know. If you haven't already, Your best bet is to talk to the Admissions Director, Heather, to get your name across in and your sincerity about the nursing field. She will also give you a better perspective of where you stand with your current stats.
  6. Any of you guys know any one on the alternate/waitlist for the program?
  7. Hi Christi1981, I was wondering did you ever get off the waitlist for LLU?
  8. Hey Gcioe, When did you hear from them that you got in?
  9. Krys22, Thank you for the reply, I just wanted to see what my next option would be because it was the only school I applied to for spring. When you spoke to them did they ever mentioned that the waiting list was short or your position on the list?
  10. Hi Krys22, I just wanted to ask you about being on the waiting list, I applied for sping and was placed on the waiting list. Did you go any further with LLU, did you attempt to contact them and kept in touch with them throughout the waiting period?
  11. Hey Everyone, just got my letter from LLU and was placed on the "alternate list" and or waiting list. Was wondering if anyone in the past that was on the alternate list got in for that quarter? and congrats to all those who got accepted for Spring of 2015!
