  1. The nurse manager told me that it'll be a few weeks until the recruiter will contact the nurse who's selected. The position begins sometime in February. I sent a thank you email to the nurse manager last week but haven't gotten a reply yet. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed.
  2. Congrats! I'm so excited for you!
  3. Well I definitely was not hired on the spot. The nurse manager and educator that I met with were extremely nice and easy to talk to. I was a nervous nelly, I definitely stuttered a few times. And now I have butterflies as a wait. Here are some questions to prepare for: strengths and weaknesses? What does familu centered care care mean to you? Why NICU? how do you invision working in a NICU would be like? How would you handle an upset parent, patient, dr? How would you handle death? Then there was a priority question. they said the recruiter would contact me and they're looking for the position to start in Feb. I'll be anxious for the next few days to say the least. Thank you for all your help!
  4. Thank you so much for the help! and congrats! I can only imaging that you felt amazing after being hired. :) What state do you work in? if you don't mind me asking.
  5. That's awesome! Congrats! Thanks for the info!
  6. oh ok that makes sense. thank you! and good luck!
  7. Hi there! I'm a new grad and obtained my license Nov 2014. I'm new to this page as well. My dream is to become a NICU nurse and I have the opportunity to interview on Tuesday. I have not had an interview in a while and I need some help. Does anyone have advise as to what questions to focus on? I'll be meeting with a hiring manager, charge nurse, and nurse educator. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Stephanie
