Hi. You can apply in any state as long as its a non compact state and they don't have a time frame. Nevada is one of those states. You can apply there. You would be able to take the test in your state but be licensed in the other state.

Hi. Thank you all for your help. I have contacted the Nevada Board of Nursing and they have informed me that I will be able to get my license through examination with them.

Hi I graduated nursing school in 2011 and have attempted the NCLEX-RN 3 times and failed. I had been told that I would be able to remediate and attempt the NCLEX RN a 4th time. I just contacted the CO board of nursing and they are telling me that I won't be able to test for licensure in CO that I have to take the exam in a non compact state and once I pass the exam I can get licensed through endorsement. Does anyone know what state I would be able to test in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I live in colorado and I failed the NCLEX- RN a total of 3 times and found out that, that is the maximum amount of times I can take it in the state of colorado. I can send in a written waiver to ask to take it a fourth time. Has anyone else been in a similar situation. If so any advice on how to prepare for the NCLEX and what the requirements are to be allowed to test again before having to try in a different state. Thanks.
