Called today to ask how many people applied. The lady on the phone said that they are still sorting through the applicants to see who all actually finished their checklist. I'll try again next week to see what the actual number is. The time is passing by slowly...

If you guys dont mind me asking, what was your cumalative score on the HESI and did you take A&P 1 and 2 prior to applying? Thanks!

I got an 85%. My first time taking it and they didn't have anymore dates open so I couldn't bring up any sections. I just took it this month. I will redo it before I apply for the ADN program.

I think that's a very good score! I saw that taking A&P also gives you a leg up as well. I wish you the best of luck!

Hello! I am currently enrolled at Angelina College. I am starting to feel a little discouraged about being accepted into a nursing program once I apply. I am not an A student. I know Lone Star requires you to take English 1301, Psychology 1301, and Anatomy and Physiology I in order to be able to apply. I have taken all three. I made a B in English and a C in the Psych and A&P. Not my finest... I know with just completing those courses, there would be no way I would ever get accepted! However, I have taken other courses and plan to take more before applying. I have already taken Speech 1318 (made an A), Arts 1301 (made an A), Life Span (made an A), and I am currently enrolled in A&P II. I plan to register for Microbiology and Sociology in the summer. I am already CPR certified and I have already begun studying for the Hesi Test. With that being said, should I be hopeful about getting accepted into a nursing program? I am not confident in retaking any course so that is no option for me. So, other than that, is there any other advice you can offer that may boost my chances?
