  1. I just friend requested you :)
  2. It would be so nice to have a roommate study buddy! I might need a new place in the Spring if nothing else comes up. I got the e-mail today about 8/8 the open house so yay we will all get to meet and I'm sure other people will need roomates. Seems like there will be a few people coming down from Phoenix. I sent Darlyn an email today about the books and she sent me a link to Evolve that has GCU bundle packs-- So idk. I know for Spring 2015, they just gave out a list which is what I was hoping for so I could just buy them all elsewhere for cheaper..Plus I have a few of them already that I don't want to have to buy again in the bundle.
  3. Hey! Yes, fortunately my best friend has a cousin I know that will be renting me out a room for now. I was in the same boat because I'm moving down from Phoenix too. I don't have any family over there either so I was so happy that worked out. Its a little south of Tucson though.. I was looking at apartments too, around the school it didn't seem to be that great of an area.. from the reviews. I hope you do find one! Hopefully more students will get on here too and maybe you could find a roommate! I would have loved to find a classmate to be a rommie with but I couldn't wait that long.. I like to be prepared lol Did you get a required book list yet?
  4. Hi I haven't been able to meet anyone in this class yet, so i'm hoping to start here and hopefully meet some new classmates! Is anyone going to Grand Canyon nursing school in Tucson next month?!
  5. I was accepted to the Tucson location. Anyone else??
  6. I really hope so but honestly have no idea, this waiting game is crazy! I thought the Webinar maybe just for the GCU location.. but I really have no idea and just plan to keep on waiting..
  7. I was told Friday just to keep waiting.. I even asked about the meeting later this month because I never received that e-mail but he said all I need to do is wait for the decisions........
  8. Hi! I'm also applying to St. Joe's this summer (I am one of the applicants Maycation is referring too :)). I haven't heard anything but am hoping to get some news either today or early next week sometime. My GPA is a 3.6, I went to GCU last semester so I am considered a GCU student through the application process. "GCU students" have a better chance of getting in than transfers, so that should better my chance. I did pretty good on my Hesi, the math portion was really easy, I got an 96%. Reading/writing I was in the 80's. My advice would be to try to get the highest GPA you can and do well on the Hesi. I retook some classes to get my GPA to the 3.6, all the advisors will tell you to do so also. Fall is most competitive, so you will just want to have good numbers to be safe :)
  9. Hi Maycation, I have completed everything. I actually applied for this Spring and was on the alternates list, I was number 8 and I got down to # 1 :/. You have a great/strong GPA! :) I have all A's and B's but not sure what mine is.. St. Joe's from what I've heard is the least competitive but like you said, it does seem like everyone applies there.. so i'm not sure if that is accurate anymore. GCU students do get priority, I did most of my pre req's at community colleges and did this last semester at GCU. I will be considered a GCU student this time around :)
  10. Hi there!! I am also applying for this summer, I think you have a really good chance!! I've heard summer is the least competitive and that most GCU students don't like to go through the summer. A 3.6 is very competitive so i'm sure you'll be fine :) I am applying to St. Joe's :) GOODLUCK! Renea
