I wasn't asking for your opinion on it. Keep your negative opinion to yourself. Training was provided and help is there if needed. If the agency doesn't want a new nurse they won't hire them it's that simple. Some do others don't. We all learn somewhere. And no one was referring to school. That part is done.

HI everyone, I'm a new nurse in Houston Tx. I just wanted to share my experience so far. My first job was with a home health agency that likes to hire new grads. My pay with them varied depending on the case. If the case was low tech, meaning the patient didn't have a trach or G tube the pay was $19. If the patient was high tech it was $20, and if it's over night $21.50. The cases vary and are not a regular monday through Friday and mostly 12 hour shifts, but some were like 8 hours. I work at a rehabilitation center that pays $21 hour 12hr shifts. This is more stable I won't lie it's not well organized when it comes to training but I make good money. I just wanted to share my experience with those that were interested.
