  1. I am a disgruntled, graduated ASN. That's it, that's all, since 2011. I have attempted this test that is supposed to determine that I can safely care for another human being, and have failed, oh I guess it is 4 times now. I feel the need to voice this opinion I have based on some of the tings I have seen.... I worked for a larger hospital chain, for a total of 12 years as a CNA. I encountered some horrific things. I saw people with a license number behind their name doing things that I would never, ever fathom. I am not saying that every nurse can be perfect, I get it, but in some situations, there is no room for error. Mistakes, lots of them. The more I learned in school, the more I realized that this nclex really doesn't measure the one thing most important in nursing, COMMON SENSE! I sit back and think of the wonderful nurse that I would/could be, I actually have compassion, and am able to feel empathy for those that I have cared for. Its just frustrating that other people can pass this damned thing, that in my eyes should never be given the right to care for another human. Its frustrating that I feel I have now wasted 4 years of my life, have a large student loan debt, terrible credit, and not one single thing to show for it. If you took the time to read this, I thank you.
