I went to Hamilton's on 41 - the 17660 location. I only ordered 2 pairs of scrubs and 1 polo for now. She said it would take about 1 month to get them in.

It says 11:00am on the paper, but I spoke with her a little while ago and she said she changed the time to 9:00am - 11:00am for that one.

I registered for the July 11th CPR course with the person they gave us the info for. She changed the time from 11:00 to 9:00. If anyone else is going on the same day, let me know. Congrats again to everyone!

The guy doing my fingerprints said whoever requests them receives the results almost immediately. I think the nursing department has to review them to decide whether we are eligible for placement.

The one on Santa Barbara in Cape Coral is almost never busy. The one on Del Prado in Cape Coral, on the other hand, is ALWAYS packed.

You have to be registered for the test by that date. But remember, you can't register for the drug screening.

There's a form to download on the certified profile site, it's under "take your drug test".

You just print out the form and go to one of the locations provided. You can't schedule a drug screening, it's walk-in only.

I had my drug test and fingerprints done this morning. For those of you still needing to complete them, here's a little FYI-- Most of the locations for the drug screening you can walk in between 9-3 with the exception of their lunch hour (the one on Santa Barbara in Cape is closed between 12 and 1). I scheduled my fingerprinting to be done at noon today at the UPS Store on Cape Coral Pkwy, but I went there at 10:30 and they were able to complete it then.

I loved learning cardio in A&P II! I did my term project/presentation on the cardiovascular system - focused on CHF. Pediatric oncology has always been where I wanted to be. That's definitely years down the road, but that's my dream.

If you want to work at the hospital, you have to have at least 2+ years of experience, for most areas with a few exceptions. Nurse internships are a great way to gain experience. I think I may have seen a couple RN openings for Lee Memorial Health Systems that require less than 2 years of experience.

FSW, FGCU, and Nova are the only accredited nursing schools around here. I was going to go to Nova for their BSN program, but that's well over $50,000 per year. I already have a degree from a private university. I can't afford another one. FSW is the cheapest one around. Even if they were to accept more students or everyone that wanted in, there wouldn't be enough jobs. Nursing is already over saturated.

Bubbles, I felt like I didn't study enough for the A&P section, but I ended up getting 100% in that area. The math section was difficult due to not being able to write anything down. I had a hard time remembering what numbers I calculated for the fractions, but I still passed the math section with a 90%. Just make sure to study, study, study. There were a few unexpected questions that had me wishing I had studied a bit more. My total HESI score came out to 91.33

This waiting thing is driving me crazy!! Lol

I ended up having to hand deliver my transcripts. I was told they never recieved the one I had sent to them. I was told it could take 7-10 days to be processed, so I asked to have it expedited. The lady who evaluated my transcript had it done within an hour of me speaking with her. My micro credits didn't transfer, so I had to file a credit review request. It will not be rectified until June, so I have to submit a letter showing that I've filed the request and turn in an official transcript from Hodges and from FSW with my application. If they do not consider my micro in the calculation, I will be applying with 95 points instead of 98. The transfer student process is no joke. It'll all be worth it in the end. Fingers crossed I'll be submitting my application today, once I get my transcript in the mail. Fingers crossed!!
