Time spent on charting
Exactly, I just took a homehealth position and they told me I would get paid per visit. Now I am wondering what about all of this paper work. If I do the paper work and if it takes me longer will I get paid for it.

pay per visit/hourly/salaried
Hello All, I was hired for a full time home health position with a very replicable known company. The manager told me I will not get paid by the hour instead I will get paid per visit. Is this how most home health companies pay for a Full time RN.. I think it is the same as Full time Case Manager? Any input on this. Please

Hello I live in Birmingham Alabama. I was offered a full time job yesterday as a home health nurse. I have been a rn for 9.5 years. Ive never worked Home health. I work the hospital med surg and stepdown. I was offered a pay of 32.00 per regular visit. 60 for a new admit. Is the pay32.00 low for a regular visit?

PRN--ON CALL
^^^ Exactly.. 30.00 a day is unrealistic. If someone die, I may be at a faciltity or their home for hours. Thanks for your input Al. I think I will look for another job.

PRN--ON CALL
I know that is very very unusual.. I always thought prn is having the flexibility of making out your own schedule. I have never worked hospice before but to make out the on call schedule for a prn employee a month in advance is a bit much. PRN meaning no full time maybe not even part time hours + no benefits. But they would still have my schedule tied up without me having any say so in the days I want to take call.. Is very unheard of

PRN--ON CALL
Hello, I am wanting to do hospice prn. However, I applied for a company that says all of their prn staff must take on call a weekend out of the month(FRi, Sat, & Sun) plus two other days in the month. The manager makes out the on call schedule for you and schedule your on call days for you even though you are prn. I have never heard of such a thing. And the on call rate is only 30.00 for the entire day despite if you go out to a call for X amount of hours. Is this common in Hospice nursing for a prn nurse. Please give me you input.
