Aww thank you for the warm welcome Esme. :) Unfortunately, I do not live near NW Indiana but I have heard wonderful things about Purdue Calumet. I also have to consider my family so unfortunately that commute would not be an option, this is why I would like feed back from my fellow nursing students and nurses in the Chicagoland area. Ultimately, my goals are to get my BSN, work in a hospital setting and gain the necessary experience, and then go back for my masters. I was considering Chamberlain but it is a 3 year program and the costs seem very high. I have had several friends graduate from their program and they've had nothing but good reviews to say about it but I am still open to hearing about other schools w/in Illinois so I know of my options and what will be the best fit. I'm still doing research but actual opinions from students who have gone through an ABSN would be so helpful.

I know this topic has probably been done to death so I apologize in advance. I've been lurking and doing my research but it's made the process even more confusing on which school I want to go to for my BSN. I recently graduated with a non-nursing degree but I want to go back to my roots and go for my long-awaited BSN. More specifically, I'm looking for both former and current BSN students who have done either an accelerated program here in the Chicagoland area or an accelerated online program that they enjoyed and would recommend. I've looked in Chamberlain, Loyola University Chicago, etc. but if you have the time or wouldn't mind sharing your experience I would love to know your thoughts and how the programs were.
