  1. Oh okay. That sounds awesome. I sent you a private message with my email in case your interested in corresponding that way. I'm literally freaking out about this lol
  2. Okay! Sounds good haha. I'll probably buy both of the online practice tests this time instead of one, and I have the ati book we can use. I bet you're going to get in though.
  3. If you decide to retake the teas, would you be interested in forming a study group? I got a 71% scored very well in science. I did ok in English, and poorly in math. I'll do anything to speed the process up lol
  4. I'm in the same position as you. Still need to take philosophy 110 but other than that .... I'm done. I took most of my classes at COC because that's where I was hoping to go. :/ unfortunately I didn't get in. I just hope I'm not waiting 5 lifetimes.
  5. I'm sure you're fine!!!!!!
  6. I seriously hope I'm not waiting forever and ever. oh man!!!! I didn't know we could retake the teas!!!!!!!!! I'm probably low on the list because I turned my packet in pretty late. I'm a CNA so I only have one or two days off a week do I have to squeeze everything into those days. How long until we get letters?
  7. Oh! Well that makes me feel better! I've waited this long, what's another year and a half?
  8. Oh I see. So if we are put on the wait list we eventually get a spot? Or will I just stay on there forever? I may just change my major if that's the case. I feel so hopeless.
  9. That's awesome!!! You'll get in for sure. Now, if I don't get in, does that mean I'll never get in there? Or how does their acceptance work. I'm confused.
  10. Nope I'm done. The only thing I need is philosophy 110 for graduation. I'm wait listed for that this fall so I don't know if I'll get in. I got B's in A&P but a C in micro which totally stinks because I took it years ago when I was still a teenager and had no idea what I was doing. Same with English 101. I'm so mad. I screwed myself over.
  11. You're probably 100% fine. I'm sure you'll start soon! my 71% is a bad score ugh. I had a friend that had to retake the TEAS, and she is going to pierce for nursing now, so maybe all isn't lost for me. I passed the first time.
  12. They base almost everything off your TEAS score. It sucks for people like me that aren't great test takers. I studied my butt off, but the pressure of actually taking the test just knocked me off my game. I got nervous, and rushed the end of math because I ran out of time. Id timed myself before the test too!! It totally stunk. I'm hoping AVC judges differently. Thank you! I know that I will be so successful given the chance to start nursing courses!!! There's nothing I want more.
  13. I literally just put in my application so doubtful that I'll get in for spring but, I'm hoping I'll at least get in at some point. COC was such a downer for me. I cried. I almost gave up completely but then I decided it's worth another shot. I love being a CNA, I know I'll love nursing even more.
  14. Thank you! I certainly hope so. I'm so nervous. Haha
  15. Ok so I am applying for spring 2016. I did not get into COC, but for AVC , I have 40 points and passes the TEAS with a 71%. I am also a CNA. I'm so afraid that I'll never get in. :/
  16. I seriously am stressing. Haha I feel like my case is grim!
  17. I'm seriously freaking out. I've been working on this for so long and I'm just so worried. It's been so tough for me. My mom was diagnosed with MS when I was 17, so I ended up taking on the responsibility of raising my younger brother.schools been tough on me!!! I've worked as hard as i could, but I know I could've done better. I loved the cna program and being a cna, I know this is what I want to do!!! I just need this so badly! Haha
  18. You have nothing to worry about!! I saw your stats! You've got this for sure! Me on the other hand....I keep checking my email :/
  19. Has anyone heard anything yet?
  20. I got the email a few weeks ago stating I am eligible for selection as well. I didn't score that great on the teas 71% , but I recently completed COC's CNA program and got my CNA. I'm hoping that will help me. My core GPA is 2.7 and my overall is 3.0. I'm hoping I can make it in at some point. Haha I know my case looks grim. Good luck to everyone!
  21. Western Governors university?
  22. I used the online practice test. I scored a 71.3% overall. Very bummed about this, but I definitely suggest using the online practice tests. I got a 68% the first practice and a 95% the second time. I figured that the average of those two scores would be my score so... I wasn't too super shocked. Good luck the second time around!
  23. I recently took the TEAS V and received my score today. I'm totally bummed. I scored a 71.3%, proficient. I scored very high in science 90th percentile, and very high in reading, but did not do so well in math. My college currently only accepts the first score. The minimum required score for my school is a 62%, and my cumulative GPA is a 3.05. I've completed all my prerequisites and the GPA in those is 2.7. Found out today that the one school I was working so hard for wants a cumulative of 3.0 in the science courses. Also, one of my friends informed me that there is no hope for me. Apparently, my score is much too low, and no one will even consider me (This particular friend failed the first time she took the TEAS and is currently taking remediation courses. I don't know if this was said out of jealousy, or out of genuine concern). While preparing for the TEAS, I was also preparing for the CNA state test. Both tests were within 4 days of each other. I am happy that I was able to pass both. I thought a 71.3% wasn't so bad given my circumstances, but now I am not so sure. My question is, should I totally give up? I've worked so hard for all of this, but now I feel like it won't happen for me. Any advice or input that anyone can give would be so greatly appreciated. I really want to do this, and I know that it is something that I can be great at!
