Hi everyone! Congrats to everyone who got in! I was hoping to ask a super quick question. I was invited for an interview but didn’t make it into this cohort. I had a post application advising session and was told to take some more science classes before applying again. For those of you who took additional classes are undergrad; do you know if VCU accepts credits from community colleges? Thanks so much for you time and congrats again!

For those of you who interviewed, do you feel good about it? I think that my answers were fine but recording was so nerve racking I definitely choked a few times LOL

yup this is me to a T and I got invited for an interview as well. question for you…are you going to touch on the lower GPA during the interview? I’m contemplating whether or not I should mention it cause if they invited us to interview clearly they’re okay with it

Ahhh I see, that would definitely make me anxious too. I hope that you hear something from them soon! I’m hopeful that they will still interview you since the discrepancy in dates is their mistake.

Hey guys. Fellow applicant here-I hear back about an interview on May 27th well after everyone else. I think what’s happening is they’re sending out the requests in batches and as the deadline for each batch approaches they roll out the next batch. My deadline to respond was June 1st so I would guess that there is another one. We don’t even know when the interviews are, they said they’ll be in touch with a date in the “coming weeks”. Remember that I got an email response directly from Amanda Alley in late April that ALL applicants will hear back regardless of application status. I really don’t think its over, everyone will hear back! ?

if you responded to the interview invite, why wouldn’t your file be active?

Does anyone have guidance or advice regarding the interview process? I know that it’s a virtual, one way interview. Will it be a combination or clinical knowledge / behavioral questions?

they’re definitely still rolling them out! I also know for a fact everyone will hear back one way or another. So keep your hopes up everyone!! The Richmond campus!

Hey guys! I emailed about a week ago and was told that all applicants would hear soemthing either way; whether we’re accepted or not. So rest assured we’re all on the same boat and they’re just running behind/haven’t heard anything! I think probability wise at least a few of us should get an interview HAHA. Good luck all!! <3

Well, I guess I do have a choice but moving to be with my fiancé is important to me. I’m definitely a very lucky new grad you’re right, but I plan on exploring different specialties within nursing so I’m not completely opposed to leaving. I just want to make sure that I leave in the most professional manner possible and on a good note in case I ever do want to come back!
